    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a UE (User Equipment) to handle a sidelink buffer status report (SL BSR). In one embodiment, the method includes the UE transmitting a SL BSR to a network node, wherein a format of the SL BSR includes at least one field of buffer size associated with HARQ (Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) feedback enabled and one field of buffer size associated with HARQ feedback disabled. The method also includes the UE receiving a sidelink grant from the network node. The method further includes the UE selecting data from a logical channel for transmission according to a HARQ feedback mode of the logical channel and whether the sidelink grant is associated with a HARQ feedback resource or not.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for handling invalid Radio Resource Control (RRC) message for sidelink communication in a wireless communication system are disclosed herein. In one method, the first User Equipment (UE) establishes a PC5 unicast link or a PC5-RRC connection with a second UE, wherein the PC5 unicast link or the PC5-RRC connection is associated with a destination identity of the second UE. The first UE transmits a Sidelink User Equipment (UE) Information message to a network node to request a sidelink configuration for a sidelink Quality of Service (QoS) flow, wherein the Sidelink UE Information message includes the destination identity of the second UE and an identity of the sidelink QoS flow. The first UE receives a RRC Reconfiguration message from the network node, wherein the RRC Reconfiguration message includes the sidelink configuration. The first UE transmits a RRC message to the network node to indicate a configuration failure if the first UE is unable to comply with the sidelink configuration included in the RRC Reconfiguration message.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a first User Equipment (UE) to request dedicated sidelink configuration. In one embodiment, the method includes the first UE transmitting a first Radio Resource Control (RRC) message to a network node, wherein the first RRC message includes a sidelink Quality of Service (QoS) information, and wherein a presence of an identity of a sidelink QoS flow in the sidelink QoS information is mandatory and a presence of a QoS profile of the sidelink QoS flow in the sidelink QoS information is optional.     Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a first UE (User Equipment) to perform sidelink logical channel (SL LCH) establishment. In one embodiment, the method includes the first UE storing a list of sidelink configurations, wherein each entry in the list contains one sidelink configuration and at least one PC5 QoS identifier (PQI) associated with the one sidelink configuration. The method further includes the first UE selecting an entry in the list according to a PQI of a PC5 QoS flow from a sidelink service. The method also includes the first UE establishing a SL LCH for the PC5 QoS flow according to a sidelink configuration of the entry and assigning an identity for the SL LCH. In addition, the method includes the first UE transmitting information to a second UE for the second UE to establish the SL LCH, wherein the information includes at least the identity of the SL LCH, an identity of the PC5 QoS flow, and Transmission-Reception (TX-RX) aligned parameters included in the sidelink configuration. Furthermore, the method includes the first UE transmitting sidelink packet(s) from the PC5 QoS flow on the SL LCH.

In one embodiment, the method includes the UE initiating a one-to-one V2X sidelink communication. The method further includes the UE transmitting a RRC (Radio Resource Control) message to a network node to request sidelink resources from NR RAT for the one-to-one V2X sidelink communication and not transmitting any RRC message to the network node to request sidelink resources from LTE RAT for the one-to-one V2X sidelink communication.
