Abstract:
A spring fastener engages the rib of a first part, such as a plastic panel for example, like a pillar for example, may be engaged, and they are also suitable to be engaged reversibly in a slot of second part, such as a metal sheet for example, like the frame of a car for example. The spring fastener comprises engagement springs having a peak, engagement regions and-side cuts in the vicinity of the peak, for example within the engagement regions. The side-cuts, of preferably triangular shape, increase the lever/angle pulling force (pulling force applied on the first part and away from the spring fastener, in order to separate the first part from a second part connected together with the spring fastener). According to one embodiment, the fastener comprises barbs with inwardly bent front ends, and the engagement regions further have hindrance portions.
Abstract:
On-hold audio messages to be played to callers to a business telephone system who are waiting to be connected to a desired party are transmitted over the Internet to a plurality of computers at separated locations. The on-hold messages are downloaded into USB drives at each of the second computers and the USB drive is then loaded into the USB port of a digital message unit. A microprocessor in the digital message unit interrogates the files to determine the file structure and creates a file directory in the microprocessor. Operator controls allow the selection of a particular file which is loaded from the USB drive into the digital message unit where it is decompressed and converted into analog form to provide the output to the on-hold input of a business telephone system.
Abstract:
This invention provides processes for preparing compounds formula: wherein R is H, alkyl, acyl, aryl, aroyl or —C(O)R′; R′ is alkyl or aryl; R1, R2, R4 and R5 are H, —OH, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, halogen, fluorinated alkyl or alkoxy, —CN, —NH—SO2-alkyl, —SO2—NH-alkyl, alkyl amide, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, acyl, aryl or aroyl; R3 is H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, fluorinated alkyl, —NH—SO2-alkyl, —SO2—NH-alkyl, alkyl amide, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, fluorinated alkoxy, acyl, aryl, or aroyl; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, as well as novel compounds useful in the synthesis of these compounds.
Abstract:
A golf tee height regulator and installation tool includes a main body having a lower tee-engagement face and an extendable measuring shaft movably mounted within the main body. An extension distance indicator means on the extendable measuring shaft displays the extension distance of the base of the shaft from the main body and a set screw releasably secures the extendable measuring shaft in a selected extended position. A golf tee securement foot is mounted on the lower end of the extendable measuring shaft which includes a generally flat base plate and a semi-flexible material sheet mounted thereon having a tee slot operative to partially deform to receive a golf tee therein and releasably frictionally retain the golf tee within the tee slot.
Abstract:
The TeeDriver is a device for placing a golf tee into the ground at a precise height, using a measuring scale. It is comprised of a handle which is ergonomic and can be round, oval or any shape. The shaft which holds the golf tee and is attached to the handle, has a slotted groove that is crescent or “U” shaped. The shaft can be 1 inch to 5 feet in height to accommodate golfers that do not want to bend over to place their tee into the ground. The rod of the TeeDriver is adjustable in height, using a thumb screw to tighten into place, and can very in length from ¼ inch to 6 inches in length. The foot, which is attached to the bottom of the rod, holds the golf tee in place with the rubber/neoprene groove until it has been placed in the ground at the specific height, at which point the TeeDriver can be removed, leaving the set tee in the ground.
Abstract:
A vibration isolator for connecting a first body and a second body. The vibration isolator includes a housing having a first chamber, a second chamber, and a port connecting the first chamber to the second chamber and permitting fluid to flow between the first chamber and the second chamber. The first and second chambers and the port defining a fluid reservoir. The isolator including a gas-to-fluid accumulator in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir through a first one-way valve and a second one-way valve. The first one-way valve allows fluid to pass only from the fluid reservoir to the accumulator and the second one-way valve allows fluid to pass only from the accumulator to the fluid reservoir. At least one of the first and second one-way valves being preloaded to a predetermined force to permit fluid flow through the at least one-way valve only when fluid pressure exceeds the predetermined force.
Abstract:
The present invention is an ingenuously designed multiple self locking hinge assembly that is simple to manufacture and can come in a variety of shapes and sizes given the application requirements. It has few parts making it cost effect and simple to use. The hinge assembly can easily be opened and closed with a single hand while at the same time creating a strong hinge connection. The invention can be used in a number of applications, including use with multiple poled devices for many common applications such as crutches, walkers, golf bag and baby carriages to name a few. The invention can also be used in conjunction with devices that require a collapsible frame. The invention also provides lateral strength and stability to a multiple poled device.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment of the invention a computer-readable media stores code that is operable to be executed on a processor. The code includes a JAVA class having objects with associated attributes and also having at least one method. The at least one method is operable, when executed on the processor, to search the objects across any attribute of the objects.
Abstract:
An approach for supporting automated fault isolation is provided. An alarm is received indicating a fault within a customer network that includes one or more network elements. The customer network being monitored by a service provider. A script is retrieved for specifying a dialogue with the network elements for data collection. A command is transmitted to the customer network according to the one script to obtain data from the network elements, wherein the data is utilized to determine the fault. Further, a workflow event corresponding to the alarm is generated, wherein resolution of the fault is automated according to the workflow event.
Abstract:
A tailgate support structure is formed by a rear vehicle structure that pivotally supports a tailgate using first and second hinge assemblies. The rear vehicle structure has a pair of laterally spaced side supports that pivotally support the tailgate between an upright closed position and a horizontal open position. The first and second hinge assemblies have first and second lateral adjusters that adjust a lateral position of the tailgate along the pivot axis between the first and second side supports. The first and second lateral adjusters are configured to center the tailgate between the side supports so as to form equal gaps on each side of the tail gate and the respective side support. Also preferably, the first and second lateral adjusters are configured to take up lateral play so that the tailgate does not move laterally between the first and second side supports.
