摘要: An apparatus for abrading a surface is provided. The apparatus has a compact profile and includes a drive mechanism disposed in a housing. The drive mechanism includes a substantially vertical drive shaft rotatably mounted on a first plate and including a drive pulley mounted on the shaft. The drive pulley is rotatably connected to at least one coplanar pulley mounted on a substantially vertical shaft and disposed between the first plate and a second plate attached substantially parallel to the first plate. Thus, use of the apparatus in height-restricted spaces is facilitated.

摘要: A liquid dispensing unit for a toilet bowl comprises a first container containing a first, liquid formulation, a second container containing a second formulation, which may be a solid tablet. The liquid from container flows onto a delivery surface from where it is washed into the toilet bowl by the flush water. Some flush water also washes over the second formulation to take components into solution and deliver them into the toilet bowl through aperture. The constituents of the two formulations are thus kept separate until they enter the toilet bowl. The second formulation may also be a liquid.

摘要: Generally, the invention provides methods, apparatus and articles of manufacture for a design automation application to evaluate a design automation task using an on-demand computer network. In one embodiment, after composing a design automation task, a requesting entity transmits the design automation task, along with a set of data used for testing, to a drop server box provided by the on-demand computer network. The design automation application is configured to process the design automation task and to prevent it from interfering with or eavesdropping on other tasks being executed in the on-demand environment, and from interfering with the operation of the on-demand environment itself. Thus, the design automation application provides a secure container to evaluate the design automation task, eliminating the need to partition resources to a particular processing request in advance. The design automation application consumes available grid resources to complete the processing task.

摘要: Computationally efficient methods and systems for optimizing an integrated circuit (IC) design by targeting only a limited subsection of buffer trees in the buffer system for optimization are provided. By making intelligent decisions about which buffer trees to optimize, greater gains in design efficiency (e.g., as measured by reduced delays and/or wire length) may be realized at greatly reduced computational times when compared to conventional techniques that attempt to optimize each buffer tree.

摘要: The invention provides systems and methods for continuous back up of data stored on a computer network. To this end the systems of the invention include a synchronization process that replicates selected source data files data stored on the network and to create a corresponding set of replicated data files, called the target data files, that are stored on a back up server. This synchronization process builds a baseline data structure of target data files. In parallel to this synchronization process, the system includes a dynamic replication process that includes a plurality of agents, each of which monitors a portion of the source data files to detect and capture, at the byte-level, changes to the source data files. Each agent may record the changes to a respective journal file, and as the dynamic replication process detects that the journal files contain data, the journal files are transferred or copied to the back up server so that the captured changes can be written to the appropriate ones of the target data files.

摘要: A method of forming a non-pneumatic tire is provided that includes the steps of providing an outer shear band ring (56) and an intermediate section (14) that has a supporting structure (16). The intermediate section (14) is collapsed from an uncollapsed state to a collapsed state. The intermediate section in the collapsed state is inserted inside of the outer shear band ring such that the outer shear band ring is located outward from the intermediate section in a radial direction of the tire. Compression of the intermediate section (14) is released when the intermediate section (14) is inside of the outer shear band ring (56) so that the intermediate section returns to the uncollapsed state from the collapsed state. In one embodiment, the compressing step of the intermediate section (14) is performed by a compression device (68) that has a plurality of gripping members.
