    Abstract: The aspects described herein may avoid delays and may improve performance at a first apparatus when monitoring a periodic resource pool for an echo signal during a beacon and echo procedure with a second apparatus. The first apparatus transmits a beacon signal using one or more resources in a periodic resource pool, starts a timer, and monitors the periodic resource pool for an echo signal from the second apparatus until expiration of the timer.

    Abstract: Aspects presented herein may improve the resource allocation of sidelink communications and reduce power consumption for sidelink devices. In one aspect, a first wireless device selects a resource for a discovery message from a sidelink resource pool that is partitioned into a first portion and a second portion. The first wireless device transmits a discovery message to a second wireless device using the resource selected from the first portion of the sidelink resource pool. The first wireless device monitor for a discovery response message from the second wireless device in the sidelink resource pool.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for configuring data transmission. Aspects relate to determining a data transmission configuration utilizing a machine-learning based algorithm, such as a data transmission configuration for ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) applications. A method that may be performed by a base station (BS) includes receiving a feedback report from a user equipment (UE) including an indication of a first state corresponding to a plurality of channel condition parameters and determining one or more actions based, at least in part, on the first state. The BS may determining the one or more actions utilizing a machine learning algorithm that uses a second state, where the second state is based, at least in part, on the first state.

    Abstract: Method and apparatus to generate a HARQ-ACK codebook for a delayed PUCCH transmission for a future valid occasion. The apparatus determines that a scheduled transmission of a first UCI in a first PUCCH is within a first slot including invalid symbols for transmission. The apparatus configures a second UCI in a second PUCCH within a second slot subsequent to the first slot. The apparatus generates a feedback codebook including the second UCI and the first UCI. The apparatus transmits the feedback codebook in the second PUCCH within the second slot.

In some examples, a first HARQ feedback granularity may be for transmitting HARQ feedback in a first quantity of symbols and a second HARQ feedback granularity may be for transmitting HARQ feedback in a second quantity of symbols.     Abstract: Some techniques and apparatuses described herein provide generation of a set of orthogonal sequences for transmission of a signal including a payload using an orthogonal base sequence in a time domain. In one example, the orthogonal base sequence in the time domain may be a pi over 2 (pi/2) binary phase shift keying (BPSK) sequence in the time domain, such as prior to transform precoding for transmission. Some techniques and apparatuses described herein provide for the set of orthogonal sequences to be generated such that the set of orthogonal sequences are orthogonal within a symbol (e.g., an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing symbol) by applying an intra-symbol orthogonal cover code (OCC). Applying the intra-symbol OCC provides intra-symbol orthogonality. Thus, a peak to average power ratio of a user equipment is reduced for uplink transmissions and intra-symbol orthogonality is preserved

    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to techniques for peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction based on a tone reservation (TR) algorithm. For a TR algorithm, a suitable subset of tones from among a full set of tones in a given resource allocation are reserved for use as peak reduction tones (PRT). An apparatus, such as a wireless communication device, selects a set of PRTs based on a deterministic pseudo-random tone selection algorithm, such as quadratic sampling, cubic sampling, or Fibonacci-type sampling. The apparatus determines a PAPR reduction waveform for transmission on the PRTs and transmits a data waveform multiplexed with the PAPR reduction waveform on resources corresponding to the resource allocation. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
