    摘要： A combination fishing rod holder and fish hook setter apparatus comprising a rod holder having a trigger mechanism for releasably securing the rod holder in a predetermined or preselected position for holding a fishing rod, adjustable dual torsion spring means for supporting the rod holder whereby a predetermined pressure is transmitted to the rod holder upon release of the trigger mechanism, fish line receiving means carried by the trigger mechanism for receiving the fish line therearound, adjustable tension spring means engagable with the fish line receiving means for adjusting the pressure required on the fish line for releasing the trigger mechanism to set the fish hook, adjustable stop means for limiting the movement of the rod holder in one direction upon release of the trigger mechanism, and means for supporting the apparatus in a stable position during use thereof.

    摘要： A fishing device is disclosed for automatically setting the hook in a fish after the fish takes the bait. The fishing device comprises a base on which is mounted a pivotal receiving tube, an adjustable spring mount and a trigger mount. The receiving tube is adapted to receive a handle of a fishing rod or pole. A spring is connected between the receiving tube and the adjustable spring mount. The trigger mount is adapted to connect to the receiving tube so as to hold the receiving tube in a ''''loaded'''' position against the tension of the spring. The adjustable spring mount is adapted to allow for adjustment of the spring tension on the receiving tube in the loaded position. In operation, and with the fishing device in the loaded position, when a fish takes the bait with a force sufficient to move the pole and receiving tube forward against the spring, the trigger mount will disengage. Disengagement of the mount allows the spring tension to act on the receiving tube in a backward direction so as to cause the fishing pole to be pulled backward against the pull by the fish, thereby setting the hook in the fish.

    摘要： Disclosed is a member establishing the attitude of a fishing rod attached to it, the member being held in a substantially horizontal position by the over-center position of a toggle assembly. A trigger lever, actuated by a relatively light pull on the fishing line, nudges the toggle assembly back across center when the line is pulled to snap the member, and hence the tip of the fishing rod sharply upwardly. The mechanism is distinguished by the fact that triggering or release occurs without the necessity of exerting a force large enough to overcome that exerted by the over-center toggle spring.
