摘要： In one aspect of the invention, a pick assembly comprises a pick shank press fitted within a bore of a pick holder. The pick comprises a pick head opposite the shank. The shank also comprises at least one longitudinal slot extending towards the pick head along the shank from a distal end of the shank. The slot allows the shank to resiliently collapse upon insertion into the bore while still allowing the shank to maintain a press fit while within the bore.

摘要： In one aspect of the invention, an aggregate removal system includes a self propelled vehicle with a frame and a conveyor. The conveyor has an intake end and an output end. A milling drum is connected to an underside of the frame and is enclosed within a milling chamber, which is defined by a front plate, side plates, and a moldboard. The drum is configured to drop aggregate within the milling chamber onto the intake end of the conveyor that protrudes into the milling chamber. The conveyor is configured to remove the aggregate from the milling chamber, and the conveyor also has at least one dust suppressant nozzle configured to apply a dust suppressant to aggregate carried by the conveyor.

摘要： A degradation assembly comprises a rotating portion and a fixed portion. The rotating portion comprises a wear resistant tip bonded to a carbide bolster. The bolster is attached to a shaft adapted for a rotatable connection within a bore of the fixed portion. The fixed portion is adapted for a rigid connection to a driving mechanism. The fixed portion includes an O-ring slot formed within its bore and with an O-ring being disposed therein. The O-ring is at least 15 percent compressed such that the O-ring resists rotation of the shaft.

摘要： In one aspect of the invention, a pick comprises a steel body comprising a formed shank attached to a first end of the body and generally extending along a central axis of the body. An impact tip is secured to a second end of the steel body and comprises a carbide substrate attached to the second end of the steel body which is bonded to a superhard material. A composite material is bonded to an outer surface of the steel body and adapted to protect the steel from wear. The composite material comprises a plurality of superhard particles held within a matrix. The matrix comprises a superhard particle concentration of 40 to 80 percent by volume.
