    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may perform a channel access procedure to gain access to a bandwidth part in a shared spectrum for sidelink communications with a second UE. The first UE may transmit a signal to the second UE using one or more sub-bands of the bandwidth part, and the signal may include one or more sidelink synchronization signal blocks (S-SSBs) multiplexed with frequency resources associated with a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH). The one or more S-SSBs may be transmitted using a set of symbol periods of a transmission time interval (TTI) (e.g., a slot) that are preceded by a least four initial symbol periods of the TTI. In some examples, the first UE may transmit a sidelink control information (SCI) message indicating which of the one or more sub-bands include the one or more S-SSBs.

A first user equipment (UE) may receive, from a second UE, a control message that indicates a duration of time the second UE has reserved at least a first subchannel of a first subband of a set of shared spectrum subbands. The duration of time may include a quantity of time periods. The first UE may transmit, during a time period of the quantity of time periods and in a second subchannel of the first subband, a power reservation signal that indicates a transmission power associated with the first UE beginning transmission to a third UE in a second subband of the set of shared spectrum subbands and partway through the time period. The first UE may transmit signaling to the third UE in the second subband partway through the time period and after transmitting the power reservation signal.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support local light biasing for silicon photomultiplier (SiPM)-based photodetectors used in optical wireless communication (OWC). In a first aspect, a photodetector may include a silicon photomultipier (SiPM) having an input sensor configured to detect a light signal and an output interface configured to produce an output signal proportional to an intensity of the light signal detected at the input sensor, and a controllable light source positioned to emit a biasing light signal within a field of view of the input sensor, wherein the controllable light source is configured to emit the biasing light signal within a sensitivity range of the SiPM. When such photodetector is implemented in an OWC receiver, an analysis of the output signal allows the OWC receiver to adjust the biasing light at the controllable light source. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support configured reception with sidelink control information (SCI) repetition over a sidelink. In aspects, a receiving user equipment (UE) may be configured to conduct combined reception/decoding of SCI repetitions (received from a transmitting UE over a sidelink) over multiple time-frequency slots at pre-defined occasions (e.g., occasions configured by a base station) to decode a sidelink transmission. In aspects, a receiving UE may receive from a transmitting UE over a sidelink, a sidelink transmission during a reception occasion that includes a plurality of reception opportunities for the receiving UE. Each reception opportunity of the plurality of reception opportunities includes a repetition of an SCI. The receiving UE decodes the SCI by combining the repetitions of the SCI received in one or more reception opportunities, and decodes a data transmission (e.g., a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) transmission) using the decoded SCI.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for indicating sidelink processes for sidelink feedback. A second user equipment (UE) may request hybrid automatic repeat request (HARD) responses from a first UE for a particular set of sidelink processes over a physical sidelink feedback channel. To indicate multiple sidelink processes, the second UE may indicate, in sidelink control information, a window of sidelink processes. The window may be a sliding window that starts with a starting sidelink process and extends through other sidelink processes. The second UE may transmit data for the sidelink processes in the sliding window and receive feedback for the indicated sidelink processes. In some aspects, the first UE may select, in coordination with the second UE, the sidelink processes for which feedback is to be provided.
