摘要: The present disclosure provides a communication apparatus and a communication method for multi-generation random access, the communication apparatus comprising: a receiver which, in operation, receives, from a base communication apparatus, an uplink OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) based random access (UORA) parameter and a trigger frame comprising user information fields allocating a plurality of random access resource units (RA-RUs); and circuitry which is configured to, in operation, derive a contention window parameter from the UORA parameter based on an operating bandwidth of the communication apparatus, determine an UORA result to access the plurality of RA-RUs based on the contention window parameter and select one RA-RU from the plurality of RA-RUs according to the determination; and a transmitter which, in operation, transmits an uplink signal on the one RA-RU.

摘要: This disclosure provides a backoff counting method in a non-simultaneous transmit and receive (NSTR) operation mode and the communication device for the method. The method includes: configuring a plurality of backoff counters for counting backoff slots with no medium activity of channels of the plurality of links; synchronizing a count value of a first backoff counter of the plurality of backoff counters with a count value of a second backoff counter of the plurality of backoff counters, if the first backoff counter starts counting later than the second backoff counter or resumes counting after a pause, wherein the count value of the second backoff counter is smaller than that of the first backoff counter; and transmitting or receiving a signal on a channel of at least one of the plurality of links after all the backoff counters reach a predefined value.

摘要: An access point manages a first wireless local area network (WLAN) in a 6 GHz radio frequency (RF) band and ii) a second WLAN operating in another RF band. The access point generates a physical layer (PHY) data unit to include a management frame having i) first information indicating first network parameters of the first WLAN, and ii) second information indicating second network parameters of the second WLAN. The AP transmits the PHY data unit in the other RF band to provide, to any client stations that are operating in the other RF band and that are also capable of operating in the 6 GHz band: the first information indicating the first network parameters of the first WLAN operating in the 6 GHz RF band to assist the any client stations that are operating in the other RF band with joining the first WLAN operating in the 6 GHz RF band.

摘要: Techniques for random access (RA) in a cellular internet-of-things (CIOT) are discussed. An example apparatus configured to be employed within a User Equipment (UE), comprises a receiver circuitry, a processor, and transmitter circuitry. The receiver circuitry is configured to receive RA resource allocation information via one of a system information message or a downlink control information (DCI) message. The processor is operably coupled to the receiver circuitry and configured to: select a RA preamble sequence; generate a payload; and spread the payload via a spreading sequence. The transmitter circuitry is configured to transmit, based on the RA resource allocation information, a RA message comprising the RA preamble sequence and the payload, wherein the RA message is transmitted in a RA slot. The receiver circuitry is further configured to receive a response comprising a device identity of the UE and one of an uplink (UL) grant or a RA reject message.

摘要: This disclosure provides systems and methods for requesting wireless resources for peer-to-peer (P2P) communications. In some implementations, a wireless communication device transmits a frame over a wireless medium to an access point (AP), the frame including a medium access control (MAC) header carrying a request for the AP to allocate part of a transmission opportunity (TXOP) for P2P communications between the wireless communication device and a client device. The wireless communication device receives a trigger frame allocating a portion of the TXOP for the P2P communications, and transmits or receives P2P data to or from the client device over the wireless medium during the allocated portion of the TXOP. In some instances, the MAC header of the frame includes a Quality-of-Service (QoS) Control field carrying the request. In some other instances, the MAC header of the frame includes an Aggregated-Control (A-Control) subfield carrying the request.

摘要: In one embodiment, an access point of an overhead mesh of access points in an area selects a range of client identifiers. The access point sends, via a beam cone transmitted in a substantially downward direction towards a floor of the area, a trigger signal that includes the range of client identifiers and prompts client devices having identifiers in that range to send best effort transmissions towards the overhead mesh. The access point detects a collision between the best effort transmissions of the client devices. The access point adjusts the range of client identifiers so as to avoid future collisions between the best effort transmissions of the client devices.
