    Abstract: A fiber optic connector includes a housing having an internal cavity and a front opening. A back post has an internal cavity, a front opening and a rear opening. The back post is operatively connected to the housing so that the internal cavity of the back post communicates with the internal cavity of the housing. At least two ferrules are disposed at least partially within the internal cavity of the housing and are exposed through the front opening of the housing. Each ferrule has a cylindrical shape and includes a flange. Each ferrule couples to an optical fiber. A fiber guide is coupled to each ferrule. Each fiber guide receives one of the optical fibers. Each fiber guide extends rearward from the ferrule. Each fiber guide extends in the internal cavity of the housing and the internal cavity of the back post. Each fiber guide is bent as the fiber guide extends rearward from the internal cavity of the housing to the internal cavity of the back post.

    Abstract: An optical fiber connector includes an optical fiber ferrule and a single-piece housing in which the ferrule is received. The housing can be installed in an adapter to make an optical connection. A rotational locking mechanism has a rotor mounted on the housing for rotation with respect the housing about a rotational axis. The rotor can be rotated between a locked position and an unlocked position. The rotational locking mechanism is configured to inhibit the housing from being withdrawn from the adapter in the locked position of the rotor and to permit the housing to be withdrawn from the adapter in the unlocked position, and further comprising a guide pin, wherein the housing comprises an integral guide pin retainer configured to hold the guide pin in place on the housing.

The hybrid adapter may be configured to connect a first connector type and a second connector type, the first connector type being different from the second connector type.     Abstract: An optical connector holding one or more optical ferrule assembly is provided. The optical connector includes an outer body, an inner front body accommodating the one or more optical ferrule assembly, ferrule springs for urging the optical ferrules towards a mating receptacle, and a back body for supporting the ferrule springs. The outer body and the inner front body are configured such that four optical ferrule assembly are accommodated in a small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceiver footprint or eight optical ferrule assembly are accommodated in a quad small form-factor pluggable (QSFP) transceiver footprint. A receptacle can hold one or more connector inner bodies forming a single boot for all the optical fibers of the inner bodies.

    Abstract: A behind-the-wall optical connector having an outer housing configured to be inserted into an adapter with a corresponding inner surface, and a latch attached to one side of housing configured to lock the connecter into an adapter opening. The latch is further configured with a locking channel and guide to accept a pull tab with a catch at one end, the pull tab releases the connector from the adapter opening when the tab is pulled rearward or away from the adapter. The ferrule assembly is inserted into a first end of the housing and when latched to the adapter, the assembly is retained in the housing without any locking structure therein.

    Abstract: A fiber optic adapter for mating a multi-fiber optic ferrule connector and a multi-fiber optic connector. An engagement device may be integrated or molded as part of adapter receptacle at either end. The engagement device secures the multi-fiber connector. The adapter may be two-piece with a first portion detachable from a second portion, the first portion housing one or more integrated engagement devices and the second portion housing one or more replaceable engagement devices, or a receptacle configured to secure a latch configured on an outer housing of a connector. Receptacle may further contain a plural of engagement devices formed as a unitary engagement device. The receptacle has a gap configured to accept the integrated engagement device. A ferrule flange assembly configured to front load into a connector housing. A connector housing with a top and a bottom stabilizer for the fiber optic connector with an adapter port.
