Abstract: A method and device are disclosed from the perspective of a User Equipment-to-User Equipment (UE-to-UE) Relay. In one embodiment, the method includes the UE-to-UE Relay receiving a first PC5-Radio Resource Control (RRC) message from a first UE to establish a first Sidelink (SL) Data Radio Bearer (DRB) for a PC5 Quality of Service (QoS) flow, wherein the first SL DRB is used for data transmission from the first UE to the UE-to-UE Relay. The method also includes the UE-to-UE Relay transmitting a first RRC message to a network node to request sidelink resource for the PC5 QoS flow in response to reception of the first PC5-RRC message, wherein the first RRC message includes a destination of a second UE. The method further includes the UE-to-UE Relay receiving a second RRC message from the network node, wherein the second RRC message includes a configuration of a second SL DRB for the PC5 QoS flow, wherein the second SL DRB is used for data transmission from the UE-to-UE Relay to the second UE.

Abstract: A method for a wireless communications system is disclosed. In one example, user equipment (UE) (e.g. a mobile phone) receives an indication from a network (for example, by way of a transmission and reception point (TRP)) indicating whether a first transmission and a second transmission to the UE can be combined for decoding. The UE also receives the first transmission via a first UE beam and the second transmission via a second UE beam. The first transmission and the second transmission are received concurrently. The first and second transmissions can arrive via different serving beams and/or different TRPs of the same cell. Based on the indication, the UE combines the first and second transmissions for decoding purposes.

The network node repeats the beam sweeping for transmitting the reference signal in the rest of the M symbol sets.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a UE (User Equipment) to handle a sidelink buffer status report (SL BSR). In one embodiment, the method includes the UE transmitting a SL BSR to a network node, wherein a format of the SL BSR includes at least one field of buffer size associated with HARQ (Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) feedback enabled and one field of buffer size associated with HARQ feedback disabled. The method also includes the UE receiving a sidelink grant from the network node. The method further includes the UE selecting data from a logical channel for transmission according to a HARQ feedback mode of the logical channel and whether the sidelink grant is associated with a HARQ feedback resource or not.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for handling invalid Radio Resource Control (RRC) message for sidelink communication in a wireless communication system are disclosed herein. In one method, the first User Equipment (UE) establishes a PC5 unicast link or a PC5-RRC connection with a second UE, wherein the PC5 unicast link or the PC5-RRC connection is associated with a destination identity of the second UE. The first UE transmits a Sidelink User Equipment (UE) Information message to a network node to request a sidelink configuration for a sidelink Quality of Service (QoS) flow, wherein the Sidelink UE Information message includes the destination identity of the second UE and an identity of the sidelink QoS flow. The first UE receives a RRC Reconfiguration message from the network node, wherein the RRC Reconfiguration message includes the sidelink configuration. The first UE transmits a RRC message to the network node to indicate a configuration failure if the first UE is unable to comply with the sidelink configuration included in the RRC Reconfiguration message.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for improving beam finding in a wireless communication system. The method also includes the first UE receiving a second RRC message from the network node, wherein the second RRC message includes a dedicated sidelink configuration and the identity of the sidelink QoS flow associated with the dedicated sidelink configuration.
