Abstract:
According to one embodiment, an error correction parity bit sequence is generated for a data sequence obtained by adding a dummy symbol of a specific pattern to a digital information sequence modulated to convert into a form satisfying the request of a reproducing system. If the parity bit sequence meets the request of the reproducing system, the modulated digital information sequence excluding the dummy symbol and the parity bit sequence are output in such a manner that the information sequence and parity bit sequence correspond to each other. If the parity bit sequence does not meet the request of the reproducing system, a dummy symbol of another pattern is added to the modulated digital information sequence, thereby generating an error correction parity bit sequence.
Abstract:
Recognition of a player's touch on a surface of a medium is made possible, as well as recognition of the medium such as a card by a dot pattern printed on a back surface of the medium placed on a stage. Input instructions according to each feature of a game or information processing device are made possible just by preparing a card on which a region for a touch operation is printed, by making possible recognition of a player's touch on a surface of a medium, as well as recognition of the medium such as a card by a dot pattern printed on a back surface of the medium placed on a stage, calculating where on a card placed on the stage is touched, and causing to perform a process according to a feature of the card.
Abstract:
An information processing device has a data recording medium accessor, into which a data recording medium is inserted. The data recording medium has first and second operation modes. The information processing device accesses the data recording medium to execute an access type selected by a user in an operation mode having a faster communication speed. If the access to the data recording medium has failed and if the selected access type is a collective data exchange, the information processing device selects a fastest communication speed out of communication speeds at which there is a possibility that data is correctly exchanged in the first operation mode and the second operation mode, and accesses the data recoding medium again. If the access to the data recording medium has failed and if the selected access type is not a collective data exchange, the information processing device reduces the communication speed in the current operation mode, and accesses the data recording medium again.
Abstract:
A flexible card which allows data of the card to be changed with a simple operation is provided, thereby permitting users to sustain interest in the card and a relevant game. The card comprises a first dot pattern in which a coordinate value or a code value is patterned and which is recognizable by predetermined irradiation light at least on one surface thereof and a second dot pattern which is patterned in a predetermined algorithm in a region overlapping with a region where the first dot pattern is provided or a region different from a region where the first dot pattern is provided.
Abstract:
A data process can be performed without lowering the data processing efficiency even when the sector length of the host device side is different from the sector length of the hard disk side. Partial data or whole data of a second data block which is based on a long sector defined on the hard disk side and surrounds the starting end and terminating end addresses of a first data block based on a host-defined sector is read from the hard disk and written to a flash memory before the data process using the flash memory as a cache is performed based on the command.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, modulation processing to convert digital information sequences into a form that meets a request from a recording/reproducing system is performed on a digital information sequence and a dummy bit is added to the sequence, and furthermore, an error correcting parity bit sequence is added to the digital information sequence. If the added parity bit sequence does not correspond to a form that meets a request from the recording/reproducing system, a value of the dummy bit is changed and the parity bit sequence is replaced with a parity bit sequence that corresponds to the dummy bit of the changed value.
Abstract:
An image reproduction controlling device generates an image signal corresponding to an image file and supplies the image signal to a liquid crystal display device displaying a video and an image other than the video to reproduce the image file. The image reproduction controlling device includes: an image switch determining unit which determines whether the image file is switched from a first image file for the video to a second image file for the image other than the video or the image file is switched from the second image file to the first image file, when the image file being displayed is switched.
Abstract:
A wearer wears a urine receptacle in which a urine absorbent material 3 is housed in a substantially rectangular, non-breathable, liquid-impermeable outer sheet having a U-shaped cross-section, and the surface of the urine absorbent material is covered with a hard-breathable, liquid permeable top sheet. Urine is discharged from a urine drainage port formed on the bottom surface of the outer sheet to a sealed urine tank by a vacuum pump through urine drainage tubes.
Abstract:
To realize a dot pattern which can be read even by a frame buffer of which algorithm for search is simple and of which resolution is low without sacrificing an information dot for defining a direction of a block. There is provided a dot pattern, wherein a plurality of reference points is provided in an area of a block having a predetermined information dot arranged thereon; a plurality of virtual reference points to be defined is arranged from the reference points (for example, a central point of a grid area); an information dot is arranged, of which information is defined by a distance and a direction from the virtual reference point; and at least the information dot at the predetermined position is made into a direction dot showing the direction of the block by a direction from the virtual reference point.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a memory interface module is configured to read one of instructions stored in a memory in accordance with a memory address designated by a fetch request issued from a processor. An error detection module is configured to detect an error in the read instruction. An instruction transmission module is configured to send to the processor, upon detection of an error in the read instruction, a first instruction to hold on a stack the same memory address as the one designated by the fetch request and a second instruction to jump to an error correction routine for correcting an error of the read instruction.
