Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program for wireless communication that allows for greater scheduling flexibility of physical resources are disclosed. A UE receives information from a base station about a time division duplex (TDD) frame structure of a plurality of frames that include a plurality of subframes. The UE determines a time division duplex (TDD) frame structure for a plurality of frames, where the plurality of frames include a plurality of uplink (UL) subframes and a plurality of downlink (DL) subframes. The UE determines whether a control signaling instance is scheduled during an UL subframe of the plurality of UL subframes, wherein the control signaling instance is scheduled periodically and the control signaling includes at least one of a random access channel, an uplink control channel, a sounding reference signal (SRS), or a scheduling request (SR). The UE communicates the control signaling instance if the control signaling instance is scheduled during an UL subframe.

Abstract: An apparatus may use inactive uplink portions of a downlink CC to transmit SRS to an eNB. At times there may be a collision between the SRS transmission and uplink transmissions or downlink transmissions on another CC. The apparatus receives a carrier aggregation configuration for a first downlink CC and a second CC, determines to transmit an uplink transmission on the second CC or to receive a downlink transmission on the second CC, determines that the SRS would at least partially collide with the uplink transmission or the downlink transmission, and determines to adjust at least one of the uplink transmission, the SRS transmission, or reception of the downlink transmission based on the determination of the collision and an interruption time to transmit the SRS in the uplink portion of the first CC.

Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to reducing transmission latency in unlicensed spectrum. These latency reduction techniques include enabling ultra low latency (ULL) traffic to gain fast channel access. These latency reduction techniques further include updating a size of a contention window for channel access. In addition, these latency reduction techniques include enhancing CPDCCH-based signaling to accommodate the ULL frame structure. Further, these latency reduction techniques include providing robust operation against bursty interference for ULL transmissions. Moreover, these techniques include managing DRX for ULL. Additionally, these latency reduction techniques include joint scheduling of different TTI durations. These latency reduction techniques further include updating SRS transmission opportunities. In addition, these latency reduction techniques include reducing latency associated with PRACH transmissions. Further, these latency reduction techniques include reducing ULL transmission delays by either ignoring or cancelling scheduled uplink (e.g., LTE) transmissions.

Abstract: Systems and methods for uplink transmission scheduling are disclosed. A wireless device may monitor at least two downlink sub-frames for scheduling grants. The wireless device may receive a first uplink scheduling grant in one of the at least two downlink sub-frames for at least a first uplink sub-frame and receive a second uplink scheduling grant in another of the at least two downlink sub-frames for at least the first uplink sub-frame. The wireless device may perform an uplink transmission in the first uplink sub-frame based on one or both of the first uplink scheduling grant and the second uplink scheduling grant. For the uplink transmission, the wireless device may select a most recent uplink scheduling grant or select an uplink scheduling grant received in a downlink sub-frame at least a minimum number of sub-frames before the first uplink sub-frame.

The scheduling entity determines supplemental wake-up information based on the carrier aggregation capability of the PCell. The scheduling entity transmits a wake-up message to the UE. The wake up message is configured to cause the UE to wake up in a CA configuration using the PCell and one or more SCells, based on the supplemental wakeup information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may configure a system frame number (SFN) and hyper-SFN associated with a long term sensing pattern. The base station may then transmit the SFN and hyper-SFN to indicate a sensing period corresponding to the long term sensing pattern. A UE may receive a SFN and hyper-SFN associated with a long term sensing pattern. The UE may determine, based on the SFN and hyper-SFN, a sensing period corresponding to the long term sensing pattern. The UE may then suspend a plurality of procedures during the sensing period.
