    Abstract: A thermal management system includes a closed-circuit refrigeration system that includes a closed-circuit refrigerant fluid path configured to store a refrigerant fluid; and an absorber/desorber including a bidirectional port coupled to the closed-circuit refrigerant fluid path to regulate an amount of refrigerant vapor at a compressor inlet of the closed-circuit refrigeration system. The absorber/desorber is configured to store an ionic liquid that is configured to absorb or desorb at least a portion of the refrigerant vapor based on a mode of operation of the absorber/desorber.

    Abstract: A thermal management system includes a closed-circuit refrigerant system to circulate a refrigerant fluid. The system includes a compressor to compress a flow of the refrigerant fluid. The system includes a condenser coupled to the compressor. The system includes a receiver to store at least a portion of the refrigerant fluid. The receiver is coupled to the condenser. The system includes a pump to circulate the refrigerant fluid through at least a portion of the system. The pump is coupled to the receiver. The system includes a flow control device to control the flow of the refrigerant fluid to an evaporator. The flow control device is coupled to the pump. The evaporator extracts heat from at least one heat load that is in thermal conductive or convective contact with the evaporator.

    Abstract: A system for generating a cyber-attack to penetrate a network. The system includes an identification module configured to identify at least one vulnerability of the network by examining at least one of a node of the network, data transmission within the network, or data received from a cyber defense mechanism; a generation module configured to generate a cyber-attack based on the at least one vulnerability of the network, and a goal to be achieved by the cyber-attack. The system includes a penetration module configured to penetrate the network with the cyber-attack and determine an effectiveness rating of the penetration; and a feedback module configured to provide a feedback to the identification module based on at least the effectiveness rating of the penetration.

    Abstract: A thermal management system includes an open circuit refrigeration circuit that has a refrigerant fluid flow path, with the refrigerant fluid flow path including a receiver configured to store a refrigerant fluid, a first control device configured to receive refrigerant from the receiver, a liquid separator, and an evaporator configured to extract heat from a heat load that contacts the evaporator, with the evaporator coupled to the first control device and the liquid separator. The system includes a pump having an inlet and an outlet, with the outlet of the pump coupled to the liquid side outlet of the liquid separator and a second control device that is coupled to an exhaust line, that is coupled to the vapor side outlet of the liquid separator through the second control device. In operation, the evaporator in the open circuit refrigeration circuit would be coupled to a heat load.

    Abstract: A computer-implemented method for generating an interpretable kernel embedding for heterogeneous data. The method can include identifying a set of base kernels in the heterogeneous data; and creating multiple sets of transformed kernels by applying a unique composition rule or a unique combination of multiple composition rules to the set of base kernels. The method can include fitting the multiple sets into a stochastic process model to generate fitting scores that respectively indicate a degree of the fitting for each of the multiple sets; storing the fitting scores in a matrix; and standardizing the matrix to generate the interpretable kernel embedding for the heterogeneous data.
