    Abstract: An adapter for a cable hanger includes: first and second opposed side walls; a ceiling spanning the first and second side walls; and first and second end walls spanning the first and second side walls and merging with the ceiling. At least one of the first and second side walls and the ceiling includes a mounting hole. At least one cradle is mounted to and extends away from one of the first or second side walls, the first or second ends walls, or the ceiling.

    Abstract: The present disclosure describes a grommet formed of a polymeric material and adapted for securing a cable within a cable hanger. The grommet includes a main body having a generally cylindrical profile surrounding an interior cavity, the main body further having a length, a thickness, and a longitudinal axis, a slot extending the length of the main body which provides an entry point for the cable to be inserted into the interior cavity, a plurality of flex retention members extending into the interior cavity configured to grip and secure the cable within the interior cavity, and one or more grip enhancement features residing between an inner surface of the main body and the flex retention members. The grip enhancement features are configured to provide additional support to the flex retention members when a cable is inserted into the interior cavity.

    Abstract: The present disclosure describes devices and assemblies for holding cables. A device adapted for holding one or more discrete cables may include a flexible main body formed of a polymeric material having a length, a width, a thickness, and a longitudinal axis, the main body including a wrapping portion and a mounting portion, wherein the wrapping portion is configured to be wrapped such that the main body circumscribes the one or more discrete cables; a securing feature attached to or integral with the mounting portion of the main body and configured to be secured to a mounting structure; and a plurality of apertures along the longitudinal axis of the wrapping portion of the main body, wherein the securing feature is configured to be received through one of the plurality of apertures when the main body is wrapped around the one or more discrete cables. Methods of holding cables are also provided.

    Abstract: A cable hanger for mounting cables to a mounting structure includes: a base panel; a pair of arms attached to opposite ends of the base panel; and a pair of locking projections, each locking projection being attached adjacent a free end of a respective arm. Each arm is configured to define a respective internal cavity configured to grasp cable. The arms and the base panel combine to define an external cavity for grasping cable. The cable hanger can be deflected from a relaxed state to a deflected state by forcing the locking projections toward each other. In the deflected state the cable hanger may be mounted to a mounting structure, with the arms inserted through a hole in the mounting structure and exerting outward pressure on edges of the hole, and the locking projections maintaining the cable hanger in a mounted position on the mounting structure.

    Abstract: A coaxial cable-connector assembly includes a coaxial cable and a coaxial connector. The coaxial cable includes a central conductor, an outer conductor, a dielectric layer interposed between the central conductor and the outer conductor, and a jacket overlying the outer conductor. The coaxial connector includes: a central conductor extension configured to mate with a mating connector at one end and mated with the central conductor of the coaxial cable at a second opposite end; an outer conductor extension configured to mate with the mating connector at one end attached via a solder joint to the outer conductor of the coaxial cable at a second opposite end; and a dielectric spacer positioned between and separating the central conductor extension and the outer conductor extension, the dielectric spacer further positioned adjacent the solder joint to inhibit solder flow away from the solder joint.

    Abstract: A coaxial cable-connector assembly comprising: (a) a coaxial cable; (b) a coaxial connector; (c) a rear body; and (d) a coupling nut. The coaxial cable comprises: an inner conductor; a dielectric layer circumferentially surrounding the inner conductor; an outer conductor circumferentially surrounding the dielectric layer; and a jacket circumferentially surrounding the outer conductor. The coaxial connector comprises: an inner contact electrically connected with the inner conductor; an outer body spaced apart from and circumferentially surrounding the inner contact; and a dielectric spacer interposed between the inner contact and the outer body. The rear body has a main section, a rear collet extending rearwardly from the main section, and a front engagement structure that coordinates with the outer body to engage the outer conductor. The nut has a threaded section and a tapered inner surface. Engagement of the nut with a threaded section on one of the rear body and the outer body advances the nut forwardly so that the tapered inner surface of the nut deflects the rear collet to engage the cable jacket.
