This foldable multipurpose cleaning device comprises a fluid-receiving receptacle member detachably connected to a cleaning head assembly. The receptacle member includes a plunger and dispensing means for the fluid. The cleaning head assembly includes an elongated scraper or squeegee and an elongated brush or sponge borne on a carriage member, an intermediate coupling member projecting from the carriage member and comprising a female housing member with a locking notch in its base, a slotted body member topped with a male head portion that has near its base a lug that is engagable with the notch on the female housing member in a releasable gripping relationship when the carriage member is in a generally horizontal position for operation, the female housing member being pivotally attached to the male head portion by means of oppositely-disposed pivot pin elements projecting from the male head portion into corresponding pivot slots in the female housing member for slip joint action therebetween.

This appliance which provides instantaneous cleaning and immediate drying comprises a handle, at one end of which is hinged a heating sole protected by a cover, in combination with a swab made from any absorbing material held under this heating sole as well as with means for feeding water to the lower face of the heating plate in contact with the swab. The heating sole- protecting cover assembly has at least one opening, and said means are formed by a water reservoir placed above said cover and comprising at least one appendage housed in said opening, this appendage having at its base at least one flow orifice for the water. Means such as a piston and springs are provided for maintaining this orifice normally closed and for opening it when it is desired to damp the swab in contact with the heating sole.

The sponge is secured to the reservoir by means of locking studs carried by straps disposed in slots provided in the sponge.

A sprayer and wiper device for windows, furniture and the like, having a tubular handle which pivotally mounts at one end a soft, absorbent wiper pad. The handle carries a cleaning or waxing solution and at its other end a spray device for spraying the solution on window or furniture surfaces. Thus with a single utensil the user can easily spray the desired surface and wipe the same.
