Abstract:
A hinge, preferably for hinging a door or flap to a carrying wall of a furniture corpus, comprises a cup-shaped hinged hinge member and a hinge bracket, which is articulately connected to the hinge member by two links and is adapted to be mounted on the carrying wall by a carrying plate. The hinge bracket is movably mounted at one end on the carrying plate by a guide, and one of the two links is extended in length beyond the pivot pin by which the one link is mounted on the hinge bracket. At the free end of the extension, the hinge bracket is articulately connected to the carrying plate so that a pivotal movement of the hinged hinge member will impart to the hinge bracket a displacement along its guide and a pivotal movement.
Abstract:
A door check wherein a housing is affixed to the pivotable panel and a guide rail is affixed to the frame of a door. The housing contains a shaft which is rigidly connected with one end of an arm the other end of which is slidably guided by the rail. The shaft carries a disc cam having two asymmetric sections one of which is tracked by a spring-biased follower tending to return the panel to its closed position and the other of which is tracked by the piston of a damper which yieldably opposes the movement of the panel back to its closed position. The configuration of the two cam sections is selected with a view to allow for a reduction of the resistance which the follower offers to opening of the door shortly after the panel leaves its closed position as well as to ensure that the damper can operate independently of the follower and vice versa.
Abstract:
An electric motor drive unit for driving a worm wheel such as for vehicle window regulator applications wherein a casing housing a rotatable armature utilizes a synthetic plastic end cap at one end, and a worm wheel housing constitutes the motor end cap at the other end. A worm shaft rotatably mounted within the wheel housing upon its own radial and thrust bearings interconnects to the motor armature through a self-aligning drive element extending through a thrust bearing defined in the worm wheel housing. The brush holders for the motor are homogeneously formed of synthetic plastic material upon the associated end cap, and the armature utilizes an inexpensive self-aligning bearing mounted within the end cap and worm wheel housing.
Abstract:
An automatic door in which a closer shaft is connected at one end thereof to a door for turning movement therewith and carries in a housing in which the closer shaft is turnably mounted a cam fixed to the closer shaft. A pair of followers carried by a carriage are arranged to opposite sides of the shaft and cooperate with the cam to move the carriage in a first direction during turning of the shaft and cam to either side of a rest position in which the door is closed, and spring means cooperate with the carriage to be stressed to an increasing degree during movement of said carriage in this first direction, while damping means cooperate with the carriage to dampen the movement of said carriage in a direction opposite to said first direction.
Abstract:
A hinge includes a stop part to secure the hinge to a stationary furniture part; an articulated lever; and a hinge cup pivotally arranged on the stop part via the articulated lever. The articulated lever with the hinge cup is mounted via an articulated axle, and the hinge cup can be secured to a movable furniture part. A damping device dampens a relative movement between the stop part and the hinge cup between an open position and a closed position of the hinge. The damping device has a linear damper including a piston and a piston rod, and is arranged outside of the hinge cup. An actuation element separate from the articulated lever actuates the damping device. The actuation element is rotatably mounted on the hinge cup, and the piston rod is movable in a substantially translational manner relative to the linear damper by a rotation of the actuation element.
Abstract:
An actuator assembly comprising: a pivot bracket configured for mounting to a surface; an actuator base configured to be pivotally engaged with the pivot bracket; an actuator cover configured to couple to the actuator base; and an end cap configured to couple the actuator base to the pivot bracket via a friction fit or a threaded connection. A sash bracket for an actuator, the sash bracket comprising: a clip configured for attachment to a chain of an actuator; a body configured for attachment to a window sash; and a pin configured to releasably couple the clip to the body. A chain guide for an actuator, wherein the chain guide comprises a runner that fits with an elongate recess of the chain.
Abstract:
A drive device for an opening mechanism for opening a movable opening element of a vehicle. The drive device comprising: a drive unit for generating the drive torque; a housing having a mounting side which can be oriented towards a vehicle part of the vehicle in order to mount the drive device; and a gearbox for increasing the drive torque of the drive unit. The gearbox having a drive-side, first gearbox unit comprising a first gear which has a first axis of rotation and a first radius, and an output-side second gearbox unit for coupling with the opening mechanism having an output axis. The first gearbox unit and the second gearbox unit being operatively connected to one another. An opening system is also provided.
