Abstract:
A method for manufacturing an electrified air filter for an intake system of an engine of a vehicle; the manufacturing method comprises the steps of: manufacturing an outer reinforcement mesh and an inner reinforcement mesh; manufacturing a filtering material panel; placing the reinforcement meshes on opposite surfaces of the filtering material panel so as to form a unit; bending the unit in a wave shape; and coupling the wave-shaped unit to a peripheral frame; externally coating the wires of said outer reinforcement mesh with an outer insulation; placing two strips of conductive metal material at the opposite ends of the outer reinforcement mesh; welding the two strips to the ends of the warp wires; and cutting each strip by means of through cuts so as to create spaces and hence obtain from the strip a succession of collectors that are separate from one another.

An air intake unit for an engine of an aircraft; the intake unit has: a tubular housing; a first inlet opening which is obtained through an outer wall of the tubular housing and through which external air can be taken in; an air filter which engages the first inlet opening; a second inlet opening which is obtained through the outer wall of the tubular housing and through which external air can be taken in; a shutter device which is coupled to the second inlet opening and is movable between a closed position, in which it closes the second inlet opening, and an open position, in which it sets the passage through the second inlet opening free; and an actuator, which moves the shutter device.

A filter for a vehicle engine air intake; the filter has an undulated filtering element, and a rigid peripheral frame surrounding and supporting the filtering element, and having a C-shaped annular seat housing the peripheral edge of the filtering element; the peripheral edge of the filtering element is secured inside the annular seat by a layer of glue completely filling the annular seat; and the peripheral frame is made of composite material, and formed by gluing together a flat top annular border, made from a single sheet of material, and an S-shaped bottom annular border, also made from a single sheet of material.

A device for filtering the intake air of an internal combustion engine having an expansion box (110) with an opening (12) for the intake air to pass therethrough, has a filter fixed to the opening that includes a first tubular filtering element having an upper annular element (1) having an upper end of the first tubular filtering element fixed thereto. A second filtering element is peripherally fixed to the upper annular element, over an upper end of the first tubular filtering element. A lower support (4) has an annular housing (9) for receiving the lower end of the first tubular filtering element therein, and a flat flange (7) for fixing the filter to the expansion box.
