Abstract: An apparatus and process can be configured for filtering and cooling air to be fed to a gas turbine while also vaporizing at least a portion of fuel to be fed to the gas turbine. Intake air can be passed through a filter house for filtration. While passing through the filtration house, a liquid fuel can be passed through the filter house to be vaporized or partially vaporized therein via heat exchange with the air passing through the filter house, which can also cool the air as it is passing through the filter house. Filtered, cooled air can be output from the filter house for feeding to a gas turbine as an oxidant while the at least partially vaporized fuel can also be output from the filter house for feeding to the gas turbine for being combusted therein.

The bypass flow duct includes a bypass flow outlet. The bypass flow duct extends between and to the air inlet duct and the bypass flow outlet. The bypass flow duct includes an interior surface forming and surrounding a bypass flow passage through the bypass flow duct. The flow control device is disposed on the interior surface. The flow control device is configured to variably control an area of a cross-sectional flow area of the bypass flow passage.

Abstract: A system and method for preventing icing in the combustion inlet air path of a gas turbine system. An air intake system of the gas turbine system supplies intake air to a gas turbine engine. The air intake system includes an air filter inlet house to filter the intake air. The air filter inlet house includes at least one filter stage having an array of pulse filters, with each of the pulse filters being hydrophobic. A combustion inlet air path is in fluid communication with the air intake system and the gas turbine engine. The combustion inlet air path receives the filtered air from the air filter inlet house and supplies the filtered air as combustion inlet air to an inlet of the gas turbine engine. A surface of at least one component in the combustion inlet air path includes an anti-icing coating to prevent ice from forming thereon.
