Abstract:
The device connects a first end-coupler with a second end-coupler, in particular of a piping. A nut is provided with a threaded bore in which the first end-coupler is screwed along a longitudinal axis. In a tightening position, the first end-coupler is in axial stress with a second end-coupler accommodated in the nut. Anti-rotation means are provided between the nut and at least one of the end-couplers to prevent relative rotation except when a torque exceeding a predetermined threshold is applied thereto. The anti-rotation means consist of at least one tab made in the material of the nut to lockingly interfere with substantially planar faces formed on the second end-coupler.
Abstract:
The device connects a first end fitting to a second end fitting, particularly of a pipe. A nut is provided with a threaded bore into which the first end fitting is screwed along a longitudinal axis. In the tightened position, the first end fitting is axially stressed relative to the second end fitting housed in the nut. Rotation-proofing structure is provided between the nut and at least one of the first and second end fittings hereafter referred to as the locking end fitting. The rotation-proofing structure includes at least one strip arranged around the locking end fitting. The strip comprises at least one protrusion radially penetrating into at least one concavity.
Abstract:
A locking device (1) is fixed to a nut (4) and includes a coupling unit (42) insertable into a hexagonal configuration (11) of a spigot end (2) at a reduced axial distance being coupled by mutually interpenetrable gears (49, 51) with a stop unit (38) which axially slides in a body (18) opposite to a compression spring (36). The gears (49, 51) are symmetric and are insertable into each other with a predetermined elastic resistance by the action of compression or loosing torque. The device is embodied in one piece which is mounted by assembling with the nut without affecting the spigot ends (2, 3).
Abstract:
A pipe coupling comprising a first and second pipe and a nut cooperating with the thread joint of one of the end pieces of one of the pipes by drawing against the latter a second endpiece belonging to the other pipe. A movable locking member, biased by a spring, comprises a shaped portion which in a locking position, fits onto a complementary shaped portion of the nut, thereby preventing the latter from turning in relation to the endpiece onto which it is screwed. The locking element is slidingly mounted on a support member which is fitted onto the first pipe so as to extend about the thread joint, wherein a sufficient radial distance is maintained with the latter to allow for the passage of the nut. The coupling is suitable for fitting, and even retrofitting,to standard couplings, especially of the nipple-nut type.
