    Abstract: The invention relates to a shut-off device comprising a plug intended to be placed over a threaded orifice of a casing, or to be removed therefrom, by screwing and unscrewing respectively, the plug comprising a central body bearing a screw thread, and locking and unlocking means that oppose the spontaneous unscrewing of the plug and that are activated automatically by the turning of the plug and its corresponding progression in the direction of screwing along a longitudinal axis. The locking and unlocking means comprise two releaseable coupling members, of which a first member is coupled to and turns with the central body via a protective skirt and of which a second member can be prevented from turning with respect to the casing during screwing.

    Abstract: A sealing device in the form of a plug that is receivable in a threaded hole of a case includes a threaded central body, a skirt connected to the central body, and locking/unlocking means that opposes spontaneous unscrewing of the plug and is automatically activated by rotation of the plug and corresponding movement along an axis. The locking/unlocking means includes a first releasable coupling component coupled for rotation with the central body, and a second releasable coupling component facing the first coupling component at least during screwing and unscrewing. In at least in a tightened condition of the plug, the second coupling component is secured against rotation relative to the case by rotation restricting means located inside the threaded bore. In the screwed condition, an annular end face of the skirt bears against a bearing face of the second releasable coupling component to transmit tightening thrust to the case.

    Abstract: A nut for securing first and second pipe end-pieces together includes a nut lock having a stop member secured to the nut body, and a second element which is rotatable inside the nut body and having a locking feature adapted to lock onto a corresponding locking structure of the second end-piece. The stop member and the second element include corresponding face teeth which are urged to intermesh by an axial compression spring. At or near the tightened condition of the assembly, the second element is locked onto the second end-piece so that rotation of the nut is possible only if the torque applied exceeds a given threshold, for which the face teeth jump over each other while the spring is alternately stressed. A compact design is obtained with the lock positioned at the rear of the nut thread. The clamping face is axially between the nut thread and the lock.

A nut is provided with a threaded bore in which the first end-coupler is screwed along a longitudinal axis. In a tightening position, the first end-coupler is in axial stress with a second end-coupler accommodated in the nut. Anti-rotation means are provided between the nut and at least one of the end-couplers to prevent relative rotation except when a torque exceeding a predetermined threshold is applied thereto.
