    Abstract: A jaw movement analysis system includes circuitry that is configured to acquire chewing information including time-series information that represents a jaw movement of a user chewing a bite of food, and to determine an attribute of the food having been chewed by the user based on the chewing information acquired and based on an analysis model. The analysis model is generated by machine learning based on training data including first information that includes time-series information indicating a past jaw movement during a chewing of a bite of food, and second information that indicates an attribute of the food chewed during the past jaw movement associated with the first information.

    Abstract: An imaging support device that supports imaging of teeth inside an oral cavity is provided. The imaging support device includes an input unit, an identification unit, a specification unit, and an output unit. The input unit receives a tooth image obtained by imaging the teeth inside the oral cavity. The identification unit identifies a type of a tooth based on the tooth image received by the input unit. Based on the type of the tooth identified by the identification unit, the specification unit specifies a type of a tooth as a target for imaging support. The output unit outputs information about the type of the tooth specified by the specification unit to an outside at a prescribed timing.

    Abstract: A three-dimensional scanner for obtaining shape information of an object body includes a light source unit, a varifocal unit, a reference unit, a light path length adjustment unit, an optical sensor, and a control unit. The varifocal unit is able to change a focal position, and both of light from the light source unit to the optical sensor via an object body and light from the light source unit to the optical sensor via the reference unit travel at least once. The control unit determines a condition of varifocal unit based on light has been reflected on reference unit and detected by a part of optical sensor, and calculates the shape information of the object body from light detected by the optical sensor using information of the condition of the varifocal unit that has been determined.

    Abstract: The A root canal treatment apparatus includes: a handpiece configured to hold a cutting tool in a head in a drivable manner; a motor driver and a micromotor configured to drive the cutting tool; a root canal length measurement circuit; and a control portion. The root canal length measurement circuit is configured to electrically detect a position of a tip end of the cutting tool in a root canal, using the cutting tool as a measuring electrode. The control portion is configured to perform drive for reversely rotating the cutting tool by a predetermined set angle (180 degrees) when the position of the tip end of the cutting tool detected by the root canal length measurement circuit reaches a predetermined set position, and then, stopping rotation.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a linear motor that undergoes no deterioration of the measurement accuracy or the driving accuracy depending on a driving situation, and a medical care apparatus including the linear motor. The linear motor of the present disclosure is a linear motor that moves linearly, the linear motor including: a movable element including a permanent magnet; a stator including a coil positioned to face the permanent magnet; and two parallel linear guides configured to guide the movable element to move linearly. Support portions provided on the linear guides, respectively, and holding portions provided on the movable element to correspond to the support portions are fitted with play and thereby the movable element is attached to the linear guides. A position where the permanent magnet is attached to the movable element is asymmetrical with respect to each of the holding portions.
