摘要： The shaft portion of a screw rotor is axially loaded to offset the thrust loading of the screw rotor due to forces exerted on the screw rotor by fluid being compressed and tending to move the screw rotor from the discharge towards suction. This permits the elimination of the thrust bearings. Preferably, the discharge end of the lobes of the rotors is beveled canted so as to generate a hydrodynamic film during operation.
