Abstract: Surgical equipment includes a pipe section to be inserted into an organism, a handle section extending in a direction nonparallel to a longitudinal direction of the pipe section, a transitioning section that couples a rear end portion of the pipe section and a front end portion of the handle section, and a treatment instrument disposed at a front end portion of the pipe section. The surgical equipment includes a manipulator section disposed in the handle section and manipulated when causing the treatment instrument to operate and a transmission member that connects the treatment instrument and the manipulator section and transmits a motion of the manipulator section to the treatment instrument. The transmission member includes a wire. The transitioning section has a hollow pipe shape through which the wire can be inserted. Only the wire is inserted through the transitioning section.
