    摘要： The opposite looped ends of an article protecting cable, which can be brought into adjacency for the reception of a lock, have clamps applied thereto which are polygonal with the angles between adjacent sides being obtuse. Bores extending longitudinally through the clamps receive the cable ends which form the loops. By swaging portions of all sides of a clamp, displaced extents of metal form internal protuberances whose ends bite into the bore-inserted extents of the cable ends in inwardly converging, angular relationship and thus very effectively clamp the inserted portions of the cable ends.

    摘要： The door of a locker or the like has a portion of its front face recessed to receive a lock mechanism (either permutation, or key operated, or both) with the forward-most portion of the lock mechanism being inwardly of or flush with the front face of the major portion of the locker door. The lock mechanism employs a spring bolt which is retracted and released when the lock is properly operated through its permutation mechanism or the turning of an inserted key. The door is devoid of the usual operating handle and when the spring bolt is released the vertically reciprocating latching bar carried by the inner face of the locker door can be lifted and released for door opening purposes, by using the dialing knob or an inserted key as a handle.

    摘要： A lock unit secured within a base cavity in a cradle telephone includes a reciprocal angle plate susceptible of being releasably locked in a lowered position wherein its top portion spans the circuit controlling yieldable plungers to hold the same depressed with the receiver, which normally controls said plungers, either seated in its cradle or removed therefrom, whereby unauthorized use of the telephone is prevented. When the unit is unlocked said angle plate, under the projective force of said spring urged plungers, will, when the receiver is removed from the cradle, where it overlies said angle plate, move upwardly with the plungers to activate the telephone circuit and thus allow normal, authorized use of the telephone set.
