Abstract:
A color selection and coordination system including a database of predetermined color relationships implementing a data-driven color model. A starting color is associated with a first color in the color database. One or more predefined color palettes associated with the first color may be retrieved, each palette including one or more coordinating colors, the coordinating colors being predetermined based on the first color and a color coordination algorithm.
Abstract:
A batch event historian gathers, stores and presents data regarding a batch process where relationships among the various elements of data are automatically derived by an executive program. A persistent store includes structure corresponding to the relationships defined among procedural elements and equipment in accordance with batch processing industry S88.01 standards. The executive program gathers event information generated by the batch process and derives the relationships among the events in accordance with these industry standard models. Storage and corresponding retrieval and presentation of such historical data is thereby simplified for a user because the user need not manually configure the historian programs to derive the relationships. Association of any continuous data log with event information is automated thereby obviating the need for manual configuration by a user to establish such associations.
Abstract:
A distributed color selection and coordination system including a remote computer communicatively coupled to a server. The remote computer configured to select a starting color and access a database in the server to find one or more complementary colors. The colors in the database arranged in a predetermined relationship with other colors in the database, the relationship between colors based on color theory. The remote computer being capable of storing personal information and color selections on the server. An in-store kiosk is communicatively coupled to the server and configured to execute color selection and coordination software. The in-store kiosk being capable of retrieving stored personal information and color selections from the server which was previously stored from the remote computer.
Abstract:
A website arranged to provide a plurality of home pages, each presenting a featured painting project image, each project image employing a plurality of different colors, each color located in a respective region of the image with at least one attention-drawing animated “hot spot” located in one or more of the regions and responsive to a first selection operation to cause display of the color name of the color of the region where the hot spot lies. The home pages further may include real-life simulating animation features, while the system software is operable to select the relative frequency with which each home page appears. Other web pages provide an animated color sheen selection tool.

Abstract:
An automated method and apparatus for providing color selection capability to a user wherein a first display is generated on a display apparatus of an array of color family groups disposed in a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns. Upon selection of a particular color family group, a second display is generated comprising an enlarged display of a particular selected color family group wherein, as the second display is generated, the array of color family groups of the first display dissolves while the particular selected color family group moves into a central enlarged position and a miniature version of the entire array of color family groups is displayed in a thumbnail navigation frame, located in a corner of the display screen. Various elements of a color family such as color stripe cards, color style cards, and sample chips may be selected and caused to appear via animation in a central enlarged position in the display.

Abstract:
A system embodied as a website including a first, second and third pluralities of display screens, the first enabling an at-home user to select a first color which coordinates with a second selected color, the second enabling the user to select for purchase one or more of a plurality of interior decorating-related items, and the third enabling the user to order and pay for one or more of (a) a paint sample of each of said first and second colors and (b) at least one of the interior decorating-related items. The order may be automatically transmitted to a fulfillment center for fulfillment and then delivered to the user.
