Abstract:
A heat treatment apparatus for making a heat treatment while estimating temperatures of objects-to-be-processed that can estimate correct temperatures of the objects-to-be-processed. A reaction tube includes heaters and temperature sensors, and receives a wafer boat. A controller estimates temperatures of wafers and temperatures of the temperature sensors in zones in the reaction tube corresponding to the heaters by using the temperature sensors and electric powers of the heaters. Based on relationships between estimated temperatures of the temperature sensors and really metered temperatures, functions expressing the relationships between the estimated temperatures and the really metered temperatures are given for the respective zones. The functions are substituted by the estimated wafer temperatures to correct the estimated wafer temperatures. Electric powers to be fed to the respective heaters are respectively controlled so that the corrected wafer temperatures are converged to target temperature trajectories.
Abstract:
The present invention includes a method and system for limiting the ramp rate of a variable under control in order to control stress in a process or plant under control. The present invention takes a limit curve provided by the user and combines that limit curve with a scale factor curve obtained from a model of the system to produce an allowable limit curve. A ramp rate limiter then uses the allowable limit curve to control the ramp rate of the variable under control such that the ramp rate of the variable under control is able to achieve the maximum allowable limit but no more.
Abstract:
Some embodiments of the present clamps include a first clamp portion having a first end defining a recess and a second end configured to be coupled to a first structure, a second clamp portion having a first end configured to be coupled to a second structure and a second end configured to be received in the recess of the first clamp portion, and a shear pin configured to secure the second clamp portion relative to the first clamp portion. Some embodiments include a retaining member disposed in the recess. In some embodiments, the recess and/or retaining member is configured to resist shearing of the shear pin if a force is applied to the second clamp portion in a first direction, but not if the force is applied in a second direction. In some embodiments, the first direction is substantially parallel with, but opposite to, the second direction.
Abstract:
A system and method for data backup. A computer system includes clients coupled to backup server and single instance store via a network. Prior to requesting an initial data backup, a new client segments and fingerprints the data to be backed up. The new client creates a sorted list of hash values and removes duplicate values in the list. In response to receiving the sorted list, a backup server may further reduce the sorted list to a unique list by removing hash values corresponding to data segments already residing on the single instance store. In response to receiving the unique list, the new client may transmit corresponding data segments to the backup server via the network. The transmitted data segments are added to a single instance store.
