Abstract:
A method of operating with a rivet is for the coupling and the tack riveting together of a first element and a second element. The method comprises positioning the rivet such that the rivet traverses two substantially coaxial openings arranged in the first and second elements to be assembled; pulling the mandrel to form a bulb on the second end; and resuming pulling of the mandrel, to cause a rupture of the sleeve at the bulb so as to permit removal, by way of the external surface of the first element, of the mandrel and of a first portion of the sleeve as well as the falling away of the portion of the bulb remaining on the external surface of the second element.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an attachment member (R) of the “lockbolt” type comprising a pin (100) and a ring (200), said pin (100) comprising a head (110) at one end and having, on its body, a first part (120) grooved with a plurality of locking grooves or channels (121p, 121c, 121d) enabling the ring (200) engaging with the pin (100) to attach itself thereto by deformation, and a second part (130) that is grooved in order to cooperate with a tool (O), characterized in that said grooved part (120) of the pin (100) is preformed so as to provide a series of non-helical grooves (121p, 121c, 121d), the beginning and the end of the series consisting of grooves (121p, 121d) that have different profiles from the identical grooves (121c) located in the central part of said series, the different profile having an identical depth but a greater width compared to the profile of the grooves (121c) located in the central portion of the series. The invention is applicable to the production of attachments and rivets.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for assembling parts (P1 and P2) in composite hardware by means of a riveting member (R), and is notable in that it comprises: using a bushing (200), the hollow core (230) of which has two different sections (231 and 232); using an insert (100) having no functional axial bearing surface for the radial swelling of the bushing (200) in the through-hole (T), but the diameter (D3) of which is capable of enabling the housing thereof, with no change in shape, in the first section (231) of the hollow core (230), and is also capable of enabling the forcible housing thereof in the second section (232); axially feeding the insert (100) into the bushing (200) such that the latter radially swells inside the through-hole (T) up to the small section (232) thereof and such that the recess well-defined by said small section is occupied by said insert (100); and ensuring, by means of a rivet set (400), the pressure on the first section (231) of the bushing (200) by the end that changes shape to ensure the bending thereof by radial centrifugal extension.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device (D) for storing and dispensing parts (P) of the type that comprises a rigid parallelepiped container (100) receiving at least one winding of a flexible storage pipe (200), wherein at least one end (220) of said pipe (200) opens to the outside and said end (220) is provided with a dispensing head (300), while the other end (210) is supplied with movement fluid, characterised in that the pipe (200) used for storing the parts (P) is made of a polyether-based polyurethane of about 64 shore D.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a blind rivet (R) characterised in that it comprises a severing groove (130) shaped in such a way that the connection between the bottom of the groove and the outside diameter of the mandrel (100) increases more on the shank side than on the head side; a shank (120) provided with a plurality of preformed crimping grooves (140) and shaped in such a way that once the shank has been severed at the severing groove (130), part of the crimping grooves (140) extends beyond the sleeve (200); at least one weakening groove (150) on the shank; a crimping collar insert (400) is crimped into the crimping grooves (140) extending beyond the sleeve (200) using a tool (500) provided with a setting tip which can exert a pulling force on the mandrel (100) in order to bend the sleeve (200) and crimp the collar (400) on the mandrel (100). The invention is useful for attachment and riveting.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for structural attachment using a blind rivet (R) including a rod (100) that, equipped with a head (110) and a threaded portion (120), is arranged inside a hollow dowel (200) including a first end equipped with a head (210) and a second end (220) on which a nut (330) cooperating with the threaded portion of the rod (100) exerts a force transmitted by the rod (100) so that a second bearing surface on the second element is created by deformation, which is remarkable in that it consists of imparting a first translation movement (arrow F1) on the rod (100) so as to create, by deformation under the action of said nut, said second bearing surface, then imparting a second rotation movement (arrow F4) on said rod (100) for the purpose of screwing, so as to apply a tension in the attachment created. The invention also relates to the rivet enabling such a method to be implemented, as well as the fitting tool adapted to said rivet.
