摘要: A method of scheduling cells into an asynchronous network for a circuit emulation service, comprises estimating the virtual clock of each connection by on-line traffic measurement, determining the lateness of the head-of-the-line cell for each connection, and giving highest priority to the latest cell.

摘要: A method includes displaying a reference polar coordinate system on a display screen, and displaying a radiation pattern image on the display screen in juxtaposition with the displayed reference polar coordinate system. In another aspect, an angled line is drawn on a display screen to represent the proposed layout of a leaky coaxial cable. A point of interest is selected that is spaced from the proposed cable layout, and one of the segments of the cable is determined as likely to produce a dominant level of irradiation with respect to the point of interest.

摘要: A system and method for operating a communications system network, the method including operating an access point (AP) acting as a network controller in a frequency hopping network, the AP communicating with other communication devices of the network over m number of frequencies using a hopping sequence of at least some of the m number of frequencies and a dwell time d for the plurality of frequencies; and operating a communication device seeking to establish synchronized communication with other communication devices of the frequency hopping network without any cross-AP coordination, the communication device scanning all of the m number of frequencies using a scanning time s for each of the m number of frequencies; and, wherein the scanning time s is no greater than 1/m of the AP dwell time d.

摘要: A method is disclosed for traffic policing in packet-based, broadband networks, such as ATM networks. The method comprises the steps of monitoring the arrival of incoming cells, and advancing a reference clock on a step of I if an arrival is late but not later than I, where I is an increment, and if an arrival is later than I assuming a new busy period and setting the reference clock at the arrival time.
