Abstract: A method and a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) are disclosed. The WTRU comprises a transceiver and a processor. The WTRU receives a system information block (SIB) from a base station, wherein the SIB indicates random access transmission uplink resources. After receiving the SIB, the WTRU transmits a random access preamble to the base station. After transmitting the random access preamble, the WTRU transmits, using one or more of the uplink resources indicated by the SIB, a first message to the base station, wherein the first message includes a first radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) of the WTRU. After transmitting the first message, the WTRU receives a second message from the base station, wherein the second message is derived from a second RNTI, the second RNTI being different than the first RNTI. After receiving the second message, the WTRU transmits to the base station.

Abstract: A system, method and apparatus for mobile communications including is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives measurement configuration parameters including one or more first measurement configuration parameters for handover decisions associated with one or more first services, the one or more first services associated with a first type of service and one or more second measurement configuration parameters for handover decisions associated with one or more second services. The first services are associated with a first type of service and the second services are associated with a second type of service. The UE transmits one or more measurement reports that include the two types of measurement information. The UE then receives a radio resource control (RRC) reconfiguration message indicating a handover to the target cell and establishes a connection with the target cell based on the received the RRC reconfiguration message.

Abstract: Procedures, methods, architectures, apparatuses, systems, devices, and computer program products are disclosed that may be implemented in a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) for enhancing conditional reconfiguration procedures. In one representative embodiment, the WTRU may receive information associated with a conditional reconfiguration, and the information may respectively indicate a measurement resolution and/or a measurement period for at least one measurement report quantity associated with a conditional reconfiguration. After receiving the information, the WTRU may perform, over the measurement period, measurements on the at least one measurement report quantity according the measurement resolution. On condition the conditional reconfiguration is triggered, the WTRU may perform a random access procedure. After the random access procedure, the WTRU may send a measurement report for the random access procedure to a base station. The measurement report may include the measurements on the at least one measurement report.

In response to expiration of a timer for a first cell of the plurality of cells or in response to a received layer 2 (L2) message associated with the first cell, the transmission of the control information including the CQIs may be ceased for the first cell and the periodic transmission of the control information may continue for a second cell of the plurality of cells.

Abstract: A method and base station are disclosed. The base station comprises a transceiver and a processor. The base station transmits a system information block (SIB) to a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), wherein the SIB indicates random access transmission uplink resources. After transmitting the SIB, the base station receives a random access preamble from the WTRU. Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for beam recovery and radio link failure (RLF) in communications systems using beamforming and operating according to new radio (NR) technologies. An exemplary method that may be performed by a UE includes communicating using beamforming with a base station (BS) via a transmit beam and a receive beam of an active beam pair and obtaining an indication of one or more alternative beams for the UE to use to send a beam recovery message to the BS in the event the transmit beam and the receive beam of the active beam pair become misaligned.

Abstract: A method and system for controlling a level of molten material received in a reservoir of a melt system from a melt grid is disclosed. The method includes receiving a first level of the molten material from a sensor in the reservoir at a first time, receiving a second level of the molten material from the sensor at a second time subsequent to the first time, and comparing the second level of the molten material to a desired operating level to determine a difference between the second level and the desired operating level. The method also includes determining a temperature set point for the melt grid based on at least the difference between the second level and the desired operating level, and adjusting an operating temperature of the melt grid to match the temperature set point.

Abstract: Aspects relate to activation of a cell (e.g., an SCell) based on measurements made by a user equipment (UE) when the cell is not activated with respect to (e.g., as a secondary cell for) the UE (e.g., the cell is deemed by the network as an unknown cell for that UE). In this case, when the network requests the UE to conduct measurements with respect to that cell (e.g., in conjunction with activation of the cell), the UE may report information based on the measurements the UE conducted when the cell was not activated with respect to that UE.
