Abstract: The invention relates to a wing arrangement (10) for a projectile (1). The wing arrangement (10) comprising: a wing shaft (20) extending longitudinally between a proximal end (21) and a distal end (22) along a wing shaft axis (R), the proximal end (21) being configured to be inserted into a wing shaft aperture (6) in a circumferential wall (2) of the projectile (1), the wing shaft (20) being rotatable around the wing shaft axis (R); a wing blade (30) connected to the distal end (22) of the wing shaft (20); a deployment arrangement (40) configured to control a rotational movement of the wing shaft (20) around the wing shaft axis (R), whereby the wing blade (30) is deployed from a folded state to a deployed state. The deployment arrangement (40) comprising a pre-tensioned torsion spring (41) arranged coaxially with the wing shaft (20), wherein a first end (42) of the torsion spring (41) is coupled to the wing shaft (20) and a second end (43) of the torsion spring (41) is configured to be coupled to the circumferential wall (2) of the projectile (1). The invention also relates to a method for deploying a wing blade (30), use of a wing arrangement (10), a projectile (1) and a method for assembly of a wing arrangement (10).

Abstract: The present invention relates to a substantially spheroidal fragmentation device (10). The fragmentation device (10) comprises: i) a protective exterior layer (6) of resilient material accommodating at least one warhead (9); ii) an inner core (11) protected by said exterior layer (6). The inner core (11) comprises: ii.a) an insensitive munition (IM); ii.b) a polymeric, plastic and/or rubbery matrix embedding the insensitive munition (IM); ii.c) explosive material (5) enclosed within the matrix of ii.b) and/or surrounding the matrix of ii.b). The ratio of the thickness of the protective exterior layer (6) to the radius of the fragmentation device (10) ranges from 0.1:1 to 0.7:1. The warhead (9) is accommodated within the protective exterior layer (6) or between the inner core (11) and the protective exterior layer (6). The invention also relates to a method of firing a fragmentation device (10) as disclosed herein, wherein a firearm is aimed at a surface enabling rebounding of the fragmentation device (10) whereby the fragmentation device (10) changes direction. The invention also relates to the use of a fragmentation device (10) as disclosed herein in a firearm.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a director mount arrangement for automatic alignment of a subsystem relative to a platform, wherein said director mount arrangement is arranged to pivotably support the subsystem. The director mount arrangement comprises a pivot frame arrangement and a control system. The control system comprises a control unit arranged to generate control signals so as to control the orientation of and stabilize the subsystem. The control signals are generated based on angular rate of subsystem and orientation operating commands provided from an operator. The control unit further generates estimated control signals based on platform orientation information and determine a difference between the control signals and the estimated control signals, wherein the difference is indicative of mechanical misalignments between the subsystem and the platform. The control unit further generates alignment corrections based on the determined difference so as to automatically align the subsystem relative to the platform.
