    Abstract: A method and system for assessing the condition of a pipeline in a pipeline system is disclosed. The method includes generating a pressure wave in the fluid being carried along the pipeline system at a generation location along the pipeline system, detecting a first pressure wave interaction signal at a first measurement location along the pipeline system resulting from an interaction of the pressure wave with localised variations in the pipeline and then detecting synchronously a second pressure wave interaction signal at a second measurement location along the pipeline system resulting from the interaction of the pressure wave with localised variations in the pipeline. The method then involves comparing the first and second pressure wave interaction signals to determine a location of individual features in the first and second pressure wave interaction signals with respect to the generation location, the individual features corresponding to pressure wave reflections from localised variations in the pipeline and characterising the individual features to assess the condition of the pipeline.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to culture media for oocytes and uses thereof. Specifically, media for culturing an oocyte in vitro are disclosed, wherein said media comprise granulocyte macrophage-colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF). The presence of GM-CSF in the media increases the maturation and/or developmental competence of the oocyte making it suitable for use in subsequent assisted reproductive technologies. Methods for increasing the maturation and/or developmental competence of an oocyte are also disclosed.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a bicycle frame and associated bicycle components, and to reducing the aerodynamic drag of these. In one aspect, there is provided an elongate structural member of a bicycle frame, the member comprising a lengthwise extending leading edge, the leading edge comprising at least a pair of forwardly extending protrusions spaced apart lengthwise therealong. In one form, the protrusions comprise tubercles, a series of which are spaced apart lengthwise along the leading edge, and which further extend to at least one side of the leading edge so as to transition into a chordwise extending rib.

    Abstract: An exhaust duct assembly for conveying exhaust gases emanating from a combustion zone to atmosphere is disclosed. The assembly includes: an exhaust gas outlet for exhausting exhaust gas into the atmosphere; and an acoustic duct portion located upstream of the exhaust gas outlet, the acoustic duct portion having a peripheral wall defining a through-passage arranged and constructed to promote propagation of sound there-through.
