    摘要： In a recording apparatus, a laser beam with the pulse modulated corresponding to image data scans an objective plane by a deflection device. On that occasion, a plurality of select signals are generated corresponding to the position of the laser beam on the scanning line based on the start signal indicating the start of scanning by the laser beam. The generated reference pulse is frequency-divided to form a plurality of pulse signals having a different width. One of the pulse signals is selected by the select signal and the image data is processed based on the selected pulse signal. The select signal is set to make a wide pulse signal correspond to the central portion of the scanning line and a narrow pulse signal correspond to both end portions of the scanning line.

    摘要： When a key input unit or a touch panel is pressed, a control unit identifies the commanded function. Then, the control unit causes a human-body communication unit to start processing for establishing human-body communication with a portable device worn by a user. On receiving user information from the portable device, the control unit makes reference to an authentication table and determines whether or not there is an entry for the received user information therein. Further, the control unit determines whether or not use of the identified function, out of the functions corresponding to the received user information, is allowed. The control unit performs display on the touch panel, according to the result of the determination.

    摘要： A multi-functional copying machine according to the invention has a scanner for reading the image of a document and image information appended to the document and a printer for forming the image on a medium. It compares the image read by the scanner and the image information, determines according to the extent of alteration of the image whether or not reproduction of the image of the document as it is can be permitted and, if permitted, produces a copy from the reproduced image of the document. If reproduction is forbidden of the image of the document as it is, whether or not to permit restoration of the scanner-read image according to the image information is determined and, if permitted, a copy is produced from the restored image. This makes it possible to keep track of any alteration in a copyrighted image by quick processing, prevent altered copyrighted images from circulation, and protect copyrighted images appropriately.

    摘要： Image data input from a host computer is converted into data BDATA corresponding to a beam diameter at an image control circuit. BDATA is input into a voice coil 21 driving a collimator lens through a collimator lens driving circuit 3, and the diameter of a laser beam is thus determined. Meanwhile, BDATA is input to a laser beam driving circuit 2 together with a signal LDATA controlling light emission from a laser diode. The laser diode is driven at an intensity corresponding to the beam diameter based on BDATA and LDATA at laser driving circuit 2. An optical apparatus capable of reproducing an accurate dot diameter according to a beam diameter is provided as a result.
