摘要: A method comprises providing a first electrically-conductive circuit-path (22), and separately providing a second electrically-conductive circuit-path (24). A portion of the first circuit-path is positioned proximally adjacent a portion of the second circuit-path at a first predetermined electrical bond location (26). A first, electrically-insulating barrier layer (28) is interposed between the first circuit-path and second circuit-path at the first bond location, and the first circuit-path is mechanically bonded to the second circuit-path at the first bond location. The mechanical bonding configured to provide an electrically-conductive bond-path between the first circuit-path and the second circuit-path at the first bond location. The mechanical bonding may desirably include ultrasonic bonding and/or pressure bonding.

摘要: A package is disclosed having an enclosed compartment with a pair of oppositely aligned walls and a perimeter. An array of compressible articles is retained in the enclosed compartment. The package also includes an expansion mechanism for allowing the enclosed compartment to be enlarged. The expansion mechanism includes a pliable member positioned about the perimeter. A release strip is positioned across the expansion mechanism. The release strip is capable of being at least partially removed to allow the enclosed compartment to be enlarged as the pliable member expands or stretches. The package can also contain an opening mechanism for allowing the package to be opened so that the articles can be removed from the enlarged compartment.

摘要: A novel packaging article and method are disclosed for an array of flexible, absorbent articles compressed or uncompressed, having an article front face, and article back face, an article top face, an article bottom face, and a pair of article side faces. An upper article section and a lower article section have mutually different calipers. The flexible, absorbent articles are placed in a configuration array such that article front faces contact article front faces or such that article back faces contact back faces of adjacent absorbent articles. The package provides an array having preferred size and requires less compressibility force. A flexible outer casing does not require compressing wrapping to maintain the array as previously required in conventional packaging arrays having flexible outer casing. The packaging article and method are particularly suited for providing preferred advantages to the packaging and commercial distribution of disposable diapers.

摘要: The present invention provides an article and method for packaging an array of flexible absorbent articles compressed or uncompressed. Absorbent articles have a front face, a back face, a top face, a bottom face, and a pair of side faces. An upper section and a lower section have mutually different calipers. Absorbent articles are placed in a configuration such that front faces are in a contacting relationship with the front faces of adjacent absorbent articles. A flexible outer casing over the array of absorbent articles having a first region and a second region and the upper and lower sections of the absorbent articles are distributed over the first and second regions of the array. A difference in the sizes of the first and second regions is at least about 10% smaller than when all of the upper sections of the absorbent articles are located in the same region of the array.

摘要: A limited use, disposable article (20), comprises a matrix-substrate (22), and an electrically-conductive region (24) of a separately provided, electrically-conductive material that has been operatively applied to the matrix-substrate from a viscous configuration of the electrically-conductive material. The matrix-substrate includes a first matrix-region (26), and at least a second matrix-region (28). At least the second matrix-region (28) can include a treatment that provides for an operative formation of a selected resistivity in the electrically-conductive region. The first matrix-region (26) has a high resistivity, and the electrically-conductive region (24) is positioned operatively adjacent the second matrix-region (28). The electrically-conductive region (24) has a low resistivity, as determined when the electrically-conductive region is positioned operatively adjacent the second matrix-region and configured for its intended use.

摘要: A package is disclosed having an enclosed compartment with a pair of oppositely aligned walls and a perimeter. An array of compressible articles is retained in the enclosed compartment in an initial orientation. The package also includes an opening mechanism capable of being activated to provide an opening into the enclosed compartment. The opening is of sufficient size to allow the articles to be individually removed. The package further includes an expansion member secured to the enclosed compartment and capable of expanding outward through the opening. The expansion member permits removal of the articles from the opened package while retaining the remaining articles in their initial orientation.

摘要: An apparatus for forming a substantially uniform distribution of particulate material within the cross direction of a fibrous web includes a conveying mechanism for providing a gas entrained supply of the particulate material. A transferring mechanism directs the particulate into a delivery gas stream to provide a flow volume of the particulate material a delivery conduit and a delivery nozzle into a web forming chamber. A fiberizing mechanism provides a flow of a selected fibrous material into the web forming chamber, and a directing mechanism controls the flow of particulate material from the delivery conduit and the delivery nozzle into the web forming chamber. A foraminous forming layer is disposed within the web forming chamber for receiving the fibrous material and the particulate material to produce a fibrous web which includes a substantially uniform distribution in the cross direction of the particulate material therein.
