    摘要: A process for manufacturing a composite profile based on a thermoplastic organic material reinforced by reinforcing fibres includes making a multiplicity of continuous reinforcing yarns come into contact with a thermoplastic organic material and shaping the composite profile. Continuous yarns based on continuous glass fibres and on a first thermoplastic are brought together to be parallel and at least one consolidated tape is formed by heating them, in which tape the reinforcing fibres are impregnated with the first thermoplastic. The at least one tape is introduced into a die sized to the cross-section of the profile and at least one second molten thermoplastic organic material is simultaneously introduced into the die in contact with the tape, to obtain a profile of at least one second thermoplastic organic material reinforced by the at least one tape.

    摘要: An AC line voltage regulator having a voltage sensing circuit for sensing and producing signals representative of the difference between a predetermined voltage level and the line voltage level and a load current sensing circuit for sensing and producing a signal representative of the magnitude of a load current drawn from the regulator. An actuation circuit combines the signals produced by the voltage and current sensing circuits to control the timing of a selectively switchable dispensing circuit which dispenses energy into an oscillatory circuit oscillating at the line voltage frequency and connected between input and output ports of the regulator. The dispensing circuit permits a selectable amount of energy to be dispensed in the oscillatory tank to adjust the line voltage level by adding the energy to either buck or boost the line voltage as determined by the difference signal. The magnitude of the dispensed energy is determined by combining the line voltage and load current signals to produce an activating signal, which permits the dispensing circuit to add energy at a predetermined rate for a period of time determined by the activation signal.

    摘要: An apparatus for AC line voltage regulation has an input port for connection to an AC source, an output port for connection to a load, and a transformer assembly connected between the input and output ports. The transformer assembly comprises a buck/boost winding and a primary winding wound about a common transformer core, and a switch arrangement for controlling the connection of the primary winding in circuit with the buck/boost winding. The switch arrangement is controlled by switch actuators responsive to a voltage sensor assembly to connect the primary winding in either of two possible conditions when the voltage is outside predetermined limits. The transformer assembly comprises either a step down transformer for reducing or bucking the output voltage or a step up transformer for boosting the output voltage according to the condition of the switch arrangement. The primary may comprise separate windings controlled by the switching assembly for connection in different configurations.
