    摘要: A fuser member and fuser system of a type wherein a polymeric release agent having functional groups supplied to the surface of the fuser member has an elastomer fusing surface comprising poly(vinylidenefluoride-hexafluoropropylene-tetrafluoroethylene) wherein the vinylidenefluoride is present in the amount less than 40 mole percent, a metal oxide is present in amounts sufficient to interact with the polymer release agent having functional groups to provide an interfacial barrier layer between the fusing surface and the toner and being substantially unreactive with the elastomer and wherein the elastomer is cured from a solvent solution thereof with a nucleophilic curing agent soluble in the solution and in the presence of less than 4 parts by weight of inorganic base per 100 parts by weight of polymer with the inorganic base being effective to at least partially dehydrofluorinate the vinylidenefluoride.

    摘要: Disclosed is a fuser member comprising a substrate, a layer thereover comprising a polymer, and, on the polymeric layer, a coating of a release agent comprising a mixture of (a) an organosiloxane polymer concentrate containing amino-substituted or mercapto-substituted organosiloxane polymers, wherein there are amino or mercapto functional groups on at least some of the polymer molecules of the concentrate, said concentrate having a degree of functionality of from about 0.2 to about 5 mole percent, said concentrate having a viscosity of from about 50 to about 500 centistokes; and (b) a nonfunctional organosiloxane polymer diluent, said diluent having a viscosity of from about 100 to about 2,000 centistokes; said mixture having a degree of functionality of from about 0.05 to about 0.4 mole percent, wherein the mixture has a viscosity of from about 100 to about 1,000 centistokes, and wherein the ratio by weight of concentrate to diluent is from about 1:2 to about 1:30.

    摘要: A copy sheet distortion-removing fusing apparatus is provided for preventing fused image deletions and poor fused copy sheet appearance. The copy sheet distortion-removing fusing apparatus includes a frame; a first pair of rotatable rollers mounted to the frame and forming a first nip for receiving and moving a copy sheet therethrough. The first pair of rotatable rollers includes a heated fuser roller, and a pressure roller forming the first nip against the fuser roller. The copy sheet distortion-removing fusing apparatus also includes a second pair of rotatable rollers forming a second nip for immediately receiving and moving therethrough a fused copy sheet coming from the first nip. Each roller of the second pair of rotatable rollers includes a hard surface layer. Rollers of the second pair of rollers are mounted in pressure engagement against each other within the second nip for flattening out any distortions in the fused copy sheet being moved therethrough, thereby preventing poor fused copy sheet appearance on such fused copy sheet.
