    摘要: A retention device (1) for separable connection of the present invention includes a first member (10) and a second member (12) engageable with each other. The first member includes a base portion (14) and at least two elastic latches (16) extending from the base portion for inserting into a hole (54, 56) defined in boards (50, 52) to which the retention device is fastened. Each elastic latch has a hook (17) for engaging with bottom face of one of the boards. The base portion of the first member defines an opening (20) in which the second member is received. The second member includes at least two wedge portions (28) which, when the second member is pushed into the opening of the second member, drive the at least two elastic latches to move inwardly, thereby disengaging the hooks of the first member from the boards.

The terminal includes a base portion (341), a solder portion (342) extending downwardly from the base portion and further extending outside the exit of the hollow portion for being soldered to the PCB, a pair of arm portions (343) extending from the base portion into the hollow portion, and a pair of head portions (344) respectively formed on the arm portions. The wire extends into the hollow portion of the housing from the entrance to be located between the pair of arm portions, and the pair of head portions pierces into the wire so that electrical connection is established between the wire and the terminal.

    摘要: An enhanced memory module assembly comprises a memory module including a substrate with a plurality of conductive traces arranged in an edge thereof. A connector includes a first housing having a memory module receiving slot extending along a longitudinal direction thereof. The housing further defines a plurality of terminal cells with a plurality of first terminals assembled therein. Each terminal includes a first end extending into the elongate slot for electrically contacting with the conductive traces. A ZIF device is arranged between the memory module and includes a pair of actuator receiving slots located in the housing and in communicating with the terminal cells, and an actuator attached to the memory module. The actuator includes a pair of actuating plates extending into the actuator receiving slots thereby pushing the terminals in electrical contact with the conductive traces when the memory module is completely inserted therein.

    摘要: An electrical connector (1) comprises an insulative housing (12), a latch member (20) and an actuator member (30) integrally formed on a top face (15) of the housing. The housing defines a plurality of cavities (14) for receiving a plurality of terminals therein. The latch member has a deflectable portion in spaced relationship to the top face for latching and detaching a complementary connector. The actuator member is located above the latch member. The actuator member has a pair of arced ribs (32) extending from the top face, an anti-overstress bar (34) connected between the arced ribs for limiting deflection of the deflectable portion of the latch member relative to the top face of the insulative housing, and a handle (36) extending from the anti-overstress bar. When the handle is depressed, the anti-overstress bar depresses the deflectable portion of the latch member to cause the deflectable portion to move downwardly, whereby an engagement between the deflectable portion and a complementary connector is released.
