Abstract: A multi-fiber ferrule has lenses that have different prescriptions to disperse the light emitted from the multi-fiber ferrule. Alternatively, the lens for each individual optical fiber can be moved relative to the optical fiber or the optical fiber opening in the multi-fiber ferrule to cause the laser beam exiting the multi-fiber ferrule to be redirected into a structure that absorbs or blocks the laser.

Abstract: An optical module includes a shell, a circuit board, a base, a laser assembly, a silicon optical chip and a protective cover. The laser assembly and the silicon optical chip are located on the base. The protective cover covers on the circuit board. The laser assembly and a wiring region of the laser assembly and/or the silicon optical chip and a wiring region of the silicon optical chip are encapsulated between the protective cover and the circuit board. The shell includes at least one heat conduction column, the at least one heat conduction column is disposed on an inner wall of the shell and is in thermal conductive connection with the laser assembly and/or the silicon optical chip. The protective cover includes at least one escape opening that allow the at least one heat conduction column to pass and enter an inside of the protective cover.

Abstract: An optical housing assembly includes a housing member having a first face and a second face. The first face has a plurality of first cavities and the second face has a plurality of second cavities. Each of the first cavities is aligned with one of the second cavities and each of the first cavities and each of the second cavities has a housing locking member. The housing member includes wall with an opening between each pair of aligned first and second cavities. Each of a plurality of first adapter inserts have a first mounting section inserted into one of the first cavities, a first receptacle configured to receive a first optical fiber connector therein, and a first connector latching member configured to interact with a first latching structure of the first optical fiber connector. Each of a plurality of second adapter inserts has a second mounting section inserted into one of the second cavities, a second receptacle configured to receive a second optical fiber connector therein, and a second connector latching member configured to interact with a second latching structure of the second optical fiber connector. Each of the first adapter inserts and each of the second adapter inserts have an adapter insert locking member associated with their respective mounting sections with each adapter insert locking member being configured to interact with one of the housing locking members to lock the adapter insert in one of the receptacles of the housing.

Abstract: An optical module for preventing laser beam leakage and a control method thereof are disclosed. The optical module including a current control circuit, a first transistor, a laser, and a laser control unit. The laser control unit is configured to: if it is detected that an optical fiber is inserted in the optical fiber interface, perform control to turn on the laser, or if it is detected that no optical fiber is inserted in the optical fiber interface, control the laser to remain in an off state. A laser beam is effectively prevented from causing human bodily injury when an optical fiber is not inserted in an optical fiber interface.

Abstract: A lens of a plug converts a light signal from an optical fiber cable to light of a predetermined divergence angle in order to emit the light. A plug housing fixes the optical fiber cable and the lens. The lens is positioned such that the light signal from the optical fiber cable becomes the light of the predetermined divergence angle at an emission surface side of the optical fiber cable. The light signal emitted from the plug becomes dispersed when entering into the eyeball of a nearby person, and therefore can be prevented from exerting adverse effect on visual function and the like.

Abstract: In an optoelectrical connector including two connectors to be interconnected, each having at least one optical connection part and at least two electrical connection parts, the electrical connection parts of one of the connectors are pins and the electrical connection parts of the other connector are spring contacts. The connector having the spring contacts includes, before the spring contacts, positioning holes in which the pins are to be inserted. The tips of the pins come into contact with the spring contacts to make electrical connection. The bases of the pins fit in the positioning holes to perform positioning for optical connection. The optoelectrical connector can be smaller, lighter, and thinner.

Abstract: An optical fiber adapter according to the present disclosure includes a main body, an inner housing, an elastic shutter member and a spring. The main body has an axial accommodation room defined by a first wall, a second wall, a third wall and a fourth wall. The accommodation room has opposing first and second openings in the axial direction. The inner housing is placed within the accommodation room and includes a hollow cylinder extending from the front surface of a flange. The connecting portion connects the base portion with the shutter plate. The shutter plate extends from the connecting portion and arrives in front of an opening of the hollow cylinder. The shutter plate is movable with respect to the base portion. The spring is positioned within the accommodation room to push the shutter member toward the first opening of the accommodation room.
