摘要: A sheet feeder control for a plurality of sheet feeding mechanisms. When one of the plural sheet feeding mechanisms is selected, the thus-selected sheet feeding mechanism is driven by the sheet feeding mechanism drive section to feed its sheet to the printing section. The non-volatile memory retains, in a non-volatile manner, the information which specifies the sheet feeding mechanism thus selected before the power supply is turned off. On the other hand, when the power supply is turned on again after its removal, it is detected by the sheet discriminating section whether a sheet is placed in the vicinity of the printing section. When the sheet is detected, its kind is also discriminated. When a sheet is detected in the vicinity of the printing section and its kind is discriminated, the preferential drive mechanism drives the sheet feeding mechanism corresponding to the sheet so that the sheet is fed to the printing section. When no sheet is detected by the sheet discriminating section, on the other hand, the preferential drive section drives the sheet feeding mechanism corresponding to the information stored in the non-volatile memory so that a sheet corresponding to the sheet feeding mechanism set before the removal of the power supply is fed to the printing section.

摘要: Provided is an elevator governor capable of achieving, with a simple configuration, an overspeed detection mechanism to which rotation dependence is added while preventing a decrease in reliability due to the generation of vibrations and noises and the wear of parts. For this purpose, the elevator governor includes: a sheave on which a rope moving in response to the movement of an ascending and descending body of an elevator is wound, and which changes the rotation speed in one direction in response to the ascent speed of the ascending and descending body and changes the rotation speed in the other direction in response to the descent speed of the ascending and descending body; a fly-weight which is provided in the sheave and increases and decreases an outward moving quantity in response to an increase and decrease in the rotation speed of the sheave; a detector which is provided in proximity to the fly-weight and performs overspeed detection of the sheave when the fly-weight has moved outward by a predetermined quantity; and a stopper which is provided in proximity to the fly-weight and prevents the fly-weight from moving outward more than or equal to the predetermined quantity while the sheave is rotating in a predetermined direction which is either of the two rotation directions.

摘要: Provided is a governor for elevator which permits easy assembling adjustment work due to a simple construction, has a high degree of freedom in the arrangement of fly-weights, an overspeed switch and a rope grasping mechanism and the set mass of the fly-weights, enables the arrangement of the fly-weights and the like, the mass of the fly-weights and the like to be determined specifically for each of the first overspeed detection speed and the second overspeed detection speed, and can detect each of the first overspeed detection speed and the second overspeed detection speed with good accuracy. For this purpose, a governor for elevator which, in order to stop a car of an elevator, detects that the moving speed of the car has reached a first overspeed detection speed and a second overspeed detection speed, includes a first overspeed detection mechanism which detects that the moving speed of the car has reached the first overspeed detection speed, and a second overspeed detection mechanism which is provided separately from the first overspeed detection mechanism and detects that the moving speed of the car has reached the second overspeed detection speed. The first overspeed detection mechanism and the second overspeed detection mechanism are configured to work independently of each other.

摘要: A printer including a gap changeover device for moving a print head and a platen relative to each other and thereby adjusting a head gap between the print head and a recording medium on the platen. A switch is provided to produce a signal where the recording medium includes a local portion whose thickness is greater than that of the remaining portion. A gap control device is responsive to the signal from the switch, to change a normally established head gap to a larger value. At the same time, a speed control device is operated to lower the printing speed, according to the larger head gap.

摘要: A printer of the type in which printing is performed in response to data supplied from a host computer and the printer is selectively rendered in an on-line mode enabling to receive the data from the host computer and in an off-line mode disabling to receive the data therefrom. A recording paper is firstly moved beyond a reference line by desired length corresponding to a desired amount of upper margin of the recording paper. The recording paper is then moved backwardly by a distance between a print position and the reference line, whereby the desired amount of upper margin is reserved when printing is started. In another aspect of the invention, an elongated, web-like recording sheet is moved toward a cutting blade and is cut at an appropriate line on the sheet. Then, the sheet is backwardly moved by a predetermined distance toward the print position.
