摘要: Reusing data in user run book automation. An application engages a teaching mode in a web-based graphical user interface (GUI), wherein a collection of selectable portions of the web-based GUI is accentuated. The application records a sequence of selections made among the collection of selectable portions of the web-based GUI as well as data entered within the GUI, where the sequence of selections represent a repeatable user-defined procedure for interacting with the web-based GUI. The application exports and imports data from the sequence of selections made among the collection of selectable portions of the web-based GUI to facilitate replay of the sequence of selections without requiring repeated entry of said data by a user. The application replays the sequence of selections with the web-based GUI.

摘要: A method, apparatus and computer-usable medium for the graphical presentation of the contextual relationship between a reported exception and its related resources and/or contributing factors. An exception view is presented to display an abnormally operating resource and the operational state of its related resources and/or contributing factors. Contextually related processes and resources are graphically depicted in one or more hierarchy trees, topologically-oriented views, or other depictions, with the operational health or condition of each resource indicated. Fault determination and resolution of the reported exception and its related processes and resources can then be facilitated.

摘要: A computerized method, program product, system, and service to verify installation of computer software onto an endpoint machine. The software to be installed is evaluated to determine what operating parameters of the endpoint machine may be affected by the software deployment, installation, and execution. Acceptable ranges of these operating parameters are included with the list of potentially affected parameters, distributed with the software module or sent as a separate script. Metrics are collected during the software installation, e.g., before deployment, after deployment but before installation, after installation, during execution, etc. How and when these operating parameters are monitored can be programmable. If and when the operating parameters extend beyond the acceptable ranges, a message that the software was not successfully installed is generated. The endpoint machine can be rolled back to a prior configuration.

摘要: A system and method for displaying objects in a plurality of layers. The layers are distinguished from one another using a variety of display attributes in order to emphasize objects in upper layers and de-emphasize objects in lower layers. The display attributes may include use of color (hue, saturation, and value), three dimensional images, fill patterns, and other display techniques. The user is able to change the layering in order to emphasize a different group, or category, of objects and de-emphasize other groups. The layers can be predefined, for example a hardware and software layers, or may be defined by analyzing the attributes corresponding with the objects. Objects and their attributes are stored in a data store, such as a relational database. Predefined layers include one or more of these attributes to use for matching.

摘要: A method to manage inputs from multiple portlets of a portal page may include gathering any inputs from forms associated with portlets other than a form associated with a portlet that is being submitted. The method may also include appending each gathered input to the form being submitted with an identifier of the form to which the gathered input belongs.
