    Abstract: A leakage current protection device with an illumination function, including a shell, a movement assembly in the shell, power input and output assemblies coupled to the movement assembly, and an illumination assembly disposed inside the shell, which includes: an illumination control board electrically coupled to the power input or output assembly; a sensing unit coupled to the illumination control board and configured to sense an ambient condition outside the shell to generate a sensing output signal; a light emitting unit coupled to the control board, and controlled by the control board to turn on or off in response to the sensing output signal; and a light guide unit, formed by an operating element partially protruding out of the shell and disposed adjacent the light emitting unit, configured to guide the illumination light emitted by the light emitting unit out of the shell. The device is convenient to use and compact.

    Abstract: A power plug includes a shell, input insertion plates, output power lines, a push button on the shell, and a trip assembly inside the shell for controlling electrical coupling between the input insertion plates and output power lines. The trip assembly includes a light emitting element, electrical coupling terminals, and a drive member mechanically coupled to the push button and configured to, in response to a pressing of the push button, control electrical coupling of the electrical coupling terminals, which in turn controls the electrical coupling between the input insertion plates and output power lines. The drive member includes a reflective portion that reflects a part of the light from the light emitting element to the push button as an indicator light. The dual function drive member that accomplishes both mechanical coupling and light transmission reduces the number of components. A device with an electrical control circuit is also disclosed.

    Abstract: A leakage current detection interrupter (LCDI) device for an electrical appliance includes a shell and a trip assembly inside the shell. The shell includes an upper cover and a base cover joined together, and either the upper cover or the base cover includes a first cover and a removable second cover. The second cover spatially corresponds to a tail portion of the trip assembly; when it is removed, the tail portion is expose to allow a power cord to be connected to the LCDI device. By using a removable second cover, the cord can be conveniently assembled with the LCDI device when the LCDI device is installed on the electrical appliance, allowing the LCDI to be shipped without the cord. This can reduce the packed size of the LCDI device for easier shipping and storage, as well as lowering cost. It also makes the LCDI device more versatile.

    Abstract: An LCDI device includes a shell, a movement unit, and a wire bundle assembly. The shell includes a base and an upper cover connected to each other. The movement unit is disposed in the base, and includes at least one connecting conductor. A first end of the wire bundle assembly is disposed in the upper cover and includes at least one shield detection line, where the shield detection line is electrically coupled to the connecting conductor. The shield detection line includes a connecting terminal at the first end of the wire bundle assembly which is configured to received and retain the connecting conductor inserted therein. The structure of the LCDI enables fast and secure assembling of the wire bundle assembly and movement unit, and eliminates the need for internal re-adjustment of the shield detection lines after assembling, which promotes automation of large scale production.

    Abstract: An electric-driven trip and reset mechanism includes input terminal and output terminals, and a position control unit, which includes a control circuit board and a coil support frame assembly and a magnet support frame assembly both coupled to the control circuit board. The input terminal is mounted on the coil support frame assembly and coupled to the control circuit board; the output terminal is mounted on the magnet support frame assembly and coupled to the control circuit board. The magnet support frame assembly is configured to move between first position farther away from the coil support frame assembly and second position closer to the coil support frame assembly. At the first position, the input and output terminals are disconnected from each other, and at the second position, the input and output terminals are connected to each other. The device can automatically switch between reset and trip functions.

    Abstract: An arc fault circuit interrupter includes: an insulating casing, electrical input terminals and electrical output terminals, first and second electrical path connected between the electrical input terminals and electrical output terminals, and a movement mechanism.
