Abstract:
A method of handling minimization of drive tests (MDT) reporting of a mobile device in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises not transmitting a request message to a network of the wireless communication system, when the mobile device is performing the MDT reporting to the network, wherein the request message is used for releasing a connection between the mobile device and the network.
Abstract:
A method of handling an uplink (UL) timing of a timing advance (TA) group for a mobile device in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises maintaining the UL timing of the TA group, if a time alignment timer of the TA group does not expire; and stopping maintaining the UL timing of the TA group, when at least one secondary cell in the TA group is deactivated and the time alignment timer of the TA group does not expire, wherein the at least one secondary cell is configured to the mobile device by a network of the wireless communication system.
Abstract:
A method of generating a buffer state of a packet data convergence protocol, hereinafter called PDCP, layer for a user equipment in a wireless communication system includes including volume information of packets, which have been submitted to a layer lower than the PDCP layer and have not been confirmed by the layer or by a PDCP status report, in a buffer state report of the PDCP layer, where the packets have not been confirmed by the layer due to buffer clearing of the layer.
Abstract:
A method of distinguishing hybrid automatic repeat request, hereinafter called HARQ, processes for a mobile device of a wireless communication system includes assigning a plurality of HARQ reference numbers corresponding to a plurality of uplink HARQ processes respectively, for identifying each of the plurality of uplink HARQ processes.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting downlink data after re-establishment of a universal terrestrial radio access network (UTRAN) acknowledged mode (AM) radio link control (RLC) entity includes receiving a plurality of RLC service data units (SDUs) from a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer of the UTRAN; dividing the received RLC SDUs into RLC protocol data units (PDUs) and transmitting the RLC PDUs to a user equipment (UE); receiving acknowledgments from the UE for received RLC PDUs; receiving a re-establishment request at a transmitting side of the AM RLC entity from upper layers of the UTRAN; discarding all RLC SDUs that have been fully transmitted to the UE before the re-establishment request is received; and discarding all RLC SDUs that have not been fully transmitted to the UE when the re-establishment request is received.
Abstract:
A method of setting radio access capability for a mobile device capable of a plurality of radio access technologies includes utilizing a first one of the radio access technologies to send subscribing information of the mobile device to a network, receiving a reject message corresponding to the subscribing information from the network, selecting a second radio access technology from the plurality of radio access technologies, and sending the subscribing information according to the second radio access technology.
Abstract:
A method of providing service to an on board unit (OBU) in a car with a mobile device, for the mobile device is disclosed. The method comprises connecting to the OBU via a cable or wireless connection, and providing a positioning/navigation service to the OBU when a notification associated to positioning capability is received from the OBU.
Abstract:
The techniques introduced herein provide a system and method for determining whether an inter-RAT handover is an SRVCC handover, and for performing the subsequent SRVCC handover. The techniques include receiving a handover command message that does not include SRVCC related information elements, for example “RAB info to replace,” but continuing with an SRVCC handover using a circuit-switched RAB provided in the information for setup. The techniques also include receiving a handover command message that does include SRVCC related information elements and performing the SRVCC handover by an alternative method.
Abstract:
A method of performing a periodic public land mobile network (PLMN) search for a mobile station in a CELL_PCH state of radio resource control (RRC) connected mode in a universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS) is described. The method includes providing a mobile station operating in the CELL_PCH state camping on a serving cell of a PLMN utilizing a first PLMN identity; performing a periodic PLMN search with the mobile station and selecting a cell with a second PLMN identity, the second PLMN identity having a higher network priority than the first PLMN identity; and performing a CELL UPDATE procedure to register the mobile station with the selected cell utilizing the second PLMN identity if the serving cell and the selected cell are each associated with a common PLMN identity.
Abstract:
A method of handling transmission and reception involving an almost blank subframes (ABS) subframe for a mobile device in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises the mobile device being configured the ABS subframe by a network of the wireless communication system; and the mobile device stopping receiving a first packet transmitted by the network in a subframe, when the subframe is the ABS subframe.
