摘要: Techniques are disclosed for utilizing control packets to manage flows. In one example, an accelerator determines that a cache entry is a candidate for removal, the accelerator being responsible for forwarding packets associated with a particular flow based at least in part on a flow state. The accelerator generates an instruction to remove a cache entry of the particular flow from a cache based at least in part on receiving the determination that the cache entry is the candidate for removal. The accelerator removes the cache entry from the cache based at least in part on the instruction. The accelerator generates a control packet that includes a flow information associated with the particular flow being formatted utilizing a particular header format. The accelerator transmits the control packet to a programming data plane utilizing a path based at least in part on the control packet utilizing the particular header format.

In one example, an accelerator determines that a cache entry is a candidate for removal, the cache entry being part of a cache that is managed by the accelerator, the cache entry storing flow state of a particular flow, the accelerator being responsible for forwarding packets associated with the particular flow based at least in part on the flow state, and the flow information formatted utilizing a particular header format. The accelerator generates an instruction to remove the cache entry of the particular flow from the cache based at least in part on receiving the determination that the cache entry is the candidate for removal. The accelerator removes the cache entry of the particular flow from the cache based at least in part on the instruction.

摘要: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for associating the start of an encrypted data flow with an application. One apparatus includes a memory storing instructions executable by a processor to cause the apparatus to authenticate an encrypted traffic detection function (“ETDF”) of the remote unit and to provide the remote unit with a list of application identifiers for which encrypted traffic detection information is to be provided, in response to successfully authenticating the ETDF of the remote unit. The instructions are executable by the processor to cause the apparatus to generate detection information for each application in the list of application identifiers and to send the list of application identifiers and the detection information for each application in the list of application identifiers to a network function in the mobile communication network.

摘要: A system for efficient routing of an OAM) frame in an Ethernet switch receives an OAM frame at a first port; building a first classification key dependent on an OAM frame header; classifies in a context of the first port to create a first classification; resolves action dependent on the first classification; modifies the first classification key to create a second classification key; classifies the frame in a context of the second port to create a second classification; sends the second classification key to an OAM engine coupled to the Ethernet switch for modification into a third classification key; receives the third classification key from the OAM engine; modifies the third classification key into a final classification key; modifies the header of the OAM frame with the final classification key; and sends the modified OAM frame to a switching fabric of the Ethernet switch.

摘要: A method for application aware multihoming with multipath tunneling protocols is provided. A message client data packet is classified based an application from which the data packet originated. The header structure of the data packet is modified to generate a proxy data packet comprising the client data payload and a proxy header structure. The proxy header structure comprises source-client and destination-server parameters and an identifier of a client-proxy device, protocol parameters indicating a source protocol sequencing of the message client data packet, and protocol parameters including source parameters of the client-proxy device and destination parameters of a server-proxy device. A network communications link is selected for transmission of the proxy data packet to the server-proxy device, where the selection is based on the classification of the message client data packet. The proxy data packet is transmitted to the server-proxy device via the network communications link.

摘要: Embodiments provide methods of managing network traffic flows. A processor of a network device may receive a first network traffic flow of a monitoring computing device and information identifying a source application of the first network traffic flow. The processor may determine a characteristic of the first network traffic flow associated with the application based at least in part on information in the first network traffic flow and the identified source application. The processor may receive a second network traffic flow from a non-monitoring computing device, and may associate the source application and the second network traffic flow if one or more characteristics of the second network traffic flow match or correlating to one or more characteristics of network traffic resulting from the source application.
