Abstract:
A scanning system with display system including a scanning module mounted in a body, such that the scanning module scans in a capture zone to capture an archival image of said capture zone. One or more image capture modules mounted in the body in fixed relation to the capture zone being operative to capture one or more real time images in the capture zone for display
Abstract:
A camera includes a frame counter having a single numerical scale of frame count indicia capable of being successively viewed after each picture is taken. The frame count indicia are arranged in one column in which the indicia are only odd numbers and are arranged in another column in which the indicia are only even numbers. An indicia viewing change-over is movable from one column to another after each picture is taken, to alternately view an odd number in one column or an even number in another column.
Abstract:
A viewfinder informs the photographer when a camera is tilted relative to a subject to be photographed. The viewfinder includes a pair of front and rear openings optically aligned to view the subject through the two openings, and a translucent element surrounding the front opening to permit a halo of light around the front opening which can be seen through the rear opening. The rear opening is dimensioned sufficiently smaller than the front opening to prevent one from viewing through the rear opening various portions of the halo of light depending on whether the camera is tilted up, down, right or left. Thus, one is alerted when the camera is tilted relative to the subject.
Abstract:
The risk of jams that occur during return of a cut sheet to a position inside of a cut sheet tray as the trailing edge of the sheet moves past the leading edge of the stack of sheets remaining in the cut sheet tray is reduced by having the returning sheet itself move a lever to a position over the jam area when the cut sheet is returning to the tray. The lever has a first position covering the edge of the other cut sheets and a second position removed from the edge of the other cut sheets, whereby to not interfere with sheets being fed from the stack. An abutment surface on the member is located along the sheet path to move the member between said positions by the force of a cut sheet moving along the path.
Abstract:
An instant book binding system and book cover for rapidly binding single- or double-sided documents, photographs, pages, and other forms of hardcopy media into soft or hard cover books is disclosed. The book binding method using the book cover or system can be performed without special skills or training, and does not require the use of ancillary equipment. The book cover and system can be used in conjunction with output on a wide variety of media types, finishes, and stock weights from any type of printer or copier, or with photographs. The finished books retain the appearance and function of conventional mass produced soft and hard covered books.
Abstract:
A print system with one or more interchangeable modular accessory cartridges that will interchange with conventional printer cartridges. The interchangeable modular accessory cartridges are mounted in the printer in fixed relation to an imaging area and are identifiable to carry out supplemental actions. The accessory cartridges are capable of communicating and are controllable by a controller.
Abstract:
A digital picture frame includes a display on which images are displayed; a detachable and re-attachable apparatus that includes: (i) a mounting base; (ii) a transparent overlay mounted in the mounting base; wherein the overlay spans the display and includes a first side that receives pressure from a user for indicating a mode preference and a second side opposite the first side; (iii) a plurality of activation mechanisms each of which activates a mode preference and are adjacent the second side of the transparent overlay; wherein a particular activation mechanism is activated when user pressure is received within a predetermined spatial relationship to the particular activation mechanism; and (iv) an attachment mechanism that permits the apparatus to be attached and detached from the display.

Abstract:
A print system with scanner with diagnostic system including one or more image capture modules mounted in a body, such that the imaging modules scan a diagnostic area around the print mechanisms to capture a representative image of said diagnostic area. The one or more image capture modules mounted in the body in fixed relation to the diagnostic area being operative to capture a stream of the representative images of the diagnostic area in order to generate output leading to recommended corrective actions.
Abstract:
A camera frame assembly has a frame that defines an optical axis. A shutter driver is mounted to the frame. The shutter driver selectively deflects from a charged state to a discharged state. A shutter is movable, relative to the frame, in directions parallel to the optical axis, between a inner position and an outer position. The shutter is pivotable about a pivot axis, relative to the frame, from a closed position to an open position by the deflecting of the shutter driver from the charged state to the discharged state. A shaft supports the shutter. The shaft is longitudinally aligned with the pivot axis. The shaft extends between the shutter and the frame.
