摘要： A digital picture frame includes a display on which images are displayed; a detachable and re-attachable apparatus that includes: (i) a mounting base; (ii) a transparent overlay mounted in the mounting base; wherein the overlay spans the display and includes a first side that receives pressure from a user for indicating a mode preference and a second side opposite the first side; (iii) a plurality of activation mechanisms each of which activates a mode preference and are adjacent the second side of the transparent overlay; wherein a particular activation mechanism is activated when user pressure is received within a predetermined spatial relationship to the particular activation mechanism; and (iv) an attachment mechanism that permits the apparatus to be attached and detached from the display.

摘要： A novel exposure frame counter is disclosed that gives the appearance of more expensive LCD type displays while not requiring the support electronics and has the ability to erase itself after being used. A disc of low permeable magnetic material has exposure frame numbers recorded into the material in a selected manner so as to create a desired magnetic field. A magnetic micro-shutter is used to create the exposure frame numbers by placing individual micro-shutters over the disc which react to the magnetic field of the disc to form numerals that indicate the exposure frame the camera is on. When the camera is advanced, the section of the disc that was indicating the exposure frame advances to the next frame and the previous frame passes across a field created by a strong permanent magnet and is erased by the permanent magnet. The magnetic micro-shutters of the exposure frame counter are formed essentially as a seven-segment display to form the numerals of the exposure frame counter.

The exposure apparatus includes a main flash tube for directly illuminating the subject, a bounce flash tube for indirectly illuminating the subject, and sensing circuitry responsive to ambient scene illumination for producing an ambient scene illumination signal, and responsive to light from the main flash tube reflected from the subject for producing a reflected flash illumination signal. The exposure apparatus further includes circuitry for defining a first reference voltage signal corresponding to a predetermined scene illumination level, circuitry for defining a second reference voltage signal corresponding to a predetermined reflected flash illumination level, first voltage comparator circuitry responsive to the ambient scene illumination signal and the first reference voltage signal for producing a main flash signal to energize the main flash tube when the ambient scene illumination signal is below the predetermined ambient scene illumination level, and second voltage comparator circuitry responsive to the reflected flash illumination signal and the second reference voltage signal for producing a bounce flash signal to energize the bounce flash tube and deenergize the main flash tube when the reflected flash illumination signal is above the predetermined reflected flash illumination level.

摘要： A flash control circuit for a camera flash circuit in which a scene ambient light sensing circuit is coupled to the main flash capacitor which serves as the sole energy source for the light sensing circuit independent of the battery source. The ambient light sensing circuit comprises a light sensing device and resistor coupled in series across a zener diode which serves as a fixed voltage reference device for the light sensing circuit. In a preferred embodiment, the ambient light sensing circuit is coupled in series with the flash sync switch across the flash capacitor such that activation of the light sensing circuit occurs only while the sync switch is closed.

摘要： A system for electromagnetically activating the shutter of a camera to provide different aperture openings by providing: an armature comprising a core and a coil, the core is capable of receiving current and the armature will produce a first magnetic field; a movable magnet that produces a second magnetic field, the magnet is positioned within the core in a manner that a first gap, a second gap, a third gap, a fourth gap, a fifth gap, a sixth gap, a seventh gap and a eighth gap will contiguously surround the magnet and be present between the core and the magnet so that the second magnetic field is coupled to the first magnetic field and the magnet is coupled to the shutter; and means coupled to the current means and the coil for setting the direction of current flow in the coil to a first direction or a second direction or for denying the presence of current flow in the coil so that when the coil receives no current a first magnetic field will not be present and the magnet will be at a first location and move the shutter to block the aperture and allow no light to enter the camera, and when current flow through the coil in a first direction the magnet will be attracted by the first magnetic field and move to a second location and move the shutter to form a first aperture size and if current flows through the coil in a second direction the magnet will be attracted by the first magnetic field and move to a third location and move the shutter to form a second aperture size.

摘要： An electrical switch assembly has a pair of conducting resilient domes which snap inwardly to produce corresponding switching functions when downward pressure is applied at their respective centers and snap outwardly to produce opposite switching functions when the applied pressure is removed. The pair of domes are supported one within the other in spaced relation with their respective centers substantially in alignment. Pressure applying means, such as a push button, is mounted for movement in line with the aligned centers of the outer and inner domes to a first predetermined position to snap the outer dome inwardly and to a second predetermined position to snap the inner dome inwardly. The successive snapping actions of the two domes to produce corresponding switching functions provide respective stages of tactile feedback through the push button to the operator.
