Abstract: A float tank used in the production or treatment of flat glass floating on a liquid bath has a refractory floor with passageways formed therein. The passageways communicate with openings in different regions of the tank floor so that the liquid may be circulated between these regions and thereby control or regulate the temperatures within the bath as may be desired.
