Abstract: A fuel fill pocket mounting system includes a mounting bracket having an inboard surface and an outboard surface. The outboard surface is bonded to an interior surface of a sheet molded composite body panel. A filler housing is attached to the inboard surface of the mounting bracket. The filler housing includes a wall defining an interior space. A snap in bezel is attached to the filler housing within the interior space. The bezel includes an outer lip disposed against the wall of the filler housing. The bezel includes a rubber material in sealing engagement with a fuel inlet pipe to limit fuel leakage between the bezel and the fuel inlet pipe.

Abstract: A charge port module for an electric vehicle (EV) includes a charge port body having a first side, a second side, and an interface for mounting to an EV body. The module also includes a receptacle on the charge port body first side and configured to accept a charging plug. The module additionally includes an electrical connector on the charge port body second side, in electrical communication with the receptacle, and configured to engage an EV electrical system. The first side of the charge port body defines a channel. The module also includes a cartridge configured to slidingly engage the channel. The cartridge includes a cartridge body defining an access opening configured to facilitate charging plug access to the receptacle after the cartridge has engaged and has seated in the channel. A light element is arranged on the cartridge body and configured to illuminate the receptacle.

Abstract: A port-door release assembly includes a door and a linkage coupled to the door to support the door during movement between open and closed positions. The port-door release assembly includes a drive shaft coupled to the linkage to drive movement of the linkage. The port-door release assembly includes a motor configured to rotate the drive shaft which moves the linkage and the door to the open and/or closed positions. The port-door release assembly includes a back-up release assembly movable relative to the linkage to disconnect the drive shaft from the linkage which allows the door to move to the open position without actuation of the motor. A door assembly includes the port-door release assembly as described above and a housing defining a port in which the door is movable relative to the housing between the open position that uncovers the port and the closed position that covers the port.

The plunger end length is greater than the slot width and the plunger end length is less than the slot length by a clearance amount.

Abstract: An assembly according to the present disclosure includes a bezel having a first aperture therethrough. The bezel has a first face and a second face. The second face is provided with a plurality of retention loops. The assembly includes an elongate member disposed at least partially within the first aperture. The elongate member is generally fixedly positioned relative to the bezel. The assembly further includes a movable closeout feature having a second aperture therethrough. The elongate member is disposed at least partially within the second aperture. The movable closeout feature is provided with a plurality of tabs. Respective tabs of the plurality of tabs are disposed in corresponding respective loops of the plurality of retention loops. The movable closeout feature is repositionable relative to the bezel by contact with the elongate member.
