Abstract:
A dishwasher appliance includes a wash rack positioned within a wash chamber of a tub above a spray body. The wash rack includes a plurality of integrally formed elongated members that form a bottom wall and a pair of side walls. The integrally formed elongated members of the wash rack define at least one internal wash fluid conduit. A related method for forming a wash rack for a dishwasher appliance is also provided.
Abstract:
A variable position diverter that provides wash fluid to selected combinations of outlet ports and spray assemblies. The diverter includes a housing having four fluid outlet ports, and a valve disk having a three apertures. The valve disk is rotated relative to the housing to align one or more of the three apertures with one or more of the four fluid outlet ports to selectively control the flow of wash fluid through corresponding spray assemblies. Selectively diverting wash fluid in this manner can improve wash performance and reduce cycle time while meeting government regulations regarding water usage.

Abstract:
Spray tines for bottle washer assemblies of dishwasher appliances are provided. A spray tine includes a conduit extending between a first end and a second end and defining a passage for flowing wash fluid therethrough. At least a portion of the conduit extending between the first end and the second end has a curvilinear cross-sectional profile when viewed in a length-wise cross-section. The spray tine further includes a head integral with the conduit, the head extending from the second end of the conduit and defining a portion of the passage. The spray tine further includes a plurality of outlet apertures, at least one of the plurality of outlet apertures defined in one of the conduit or the head. Each of the plurality of outlet apertures is in fluid communication with the passage for flowing wash fluid from the passage therethrough.
Abstract:
A dishwasher appliance is provided. The dishwasher appliance includes a first spray assembly and a second spray assembly. A pressure actuated valve is coupled to a supply conduit. The pressure actuated valve selectively permits wash fluid from the supply conduit to flow to the second spray assembly. A related method for operating a dishwasher appliance is also provided.
Abstract:
A filtering system for a dishwashing appliance is provided that can remove fine particles from the wash and rinse fluids. The system includes a filter cartridge that can be rotated between filter media equipped for removal of different particulate sizes depending upon e.g., the cycle or stage of the cleaning process and/or anticipated particle size. The filter cartridge is positioned upstream from the pump inlet. In certain embodiments, the filter cartridge can be removable for servicing.
