Abstract: Certain examples relate to mixing and/or supply cartridges for printing apparatus. One example implementation includes a reservoir to receive printing material from a printing apparatus and to return the received printing material to the printing apparatus. A storage medium stores a reservoir printing material level parameter indicative of the amount of printing material in the reservoir; a recirculation cycle counter indicative of the number of recirculation events experienced by the cartridge; a maximum recirculation cycle parameter indicative of the maximum number of recirculation events that may be experienced by the cartridge.

Abstract: A system includes an image analyzer to analyze an image to be printed by a printer and to obtain an image parameter of the image, and a database to store a plurality of print-mode configurations for the printer. Each print-mode configuration has associated therewith a measure that represents a suitability of the print-mode configuration to print an image having a certain image parameter on a certain print medium. The database receives a query, and the query indicates the image parameter and a print medium. The database selects, responsive to the query and to the measure, a print-mode configuration for the printer, and outputs the selected print-mode configuration. The system modifies the measure associated with the selected print-mode configuration in response to a feedback about the printed image.

Abstract: Certain examples described herein relate to printing systems and methods of operating the same. In an example of a printing system, a porosity determiner determines a porosity of a print medium and a signal generator generates a signal relating to a state of a printing fluid collector based on the porosity determined. In an example of a method of operating a printing system, a pressure measurement is obtained from a vacuum system of the printing system when a print medium is present on a media path of the printing system. This is compared to at least one predefined pressure range and, based on the comparison, an indication is provided setting out a state of a printing fluid collector.

The housing (120) includes a structure allowing the application of manual pressure to the collapsible bag (124) to urge printing fluid out of the collapsible bag through the fluid connection member (106) to the upstream side of the pump (110) to displace air (130) in the fluid connection member (106) and the pump (110).
