    Abstract: A finisher apparatus includes an actuator to control a component of the finisher apparatus to perform a finishing operation on a print medium. A sensor is provided to sense the print medium in a print-medium path in the finisher apparatus. A processor is coupled to the actuator and the sensor. The processor is to execute instructions. The instructions are to actuate the actuator to eject the print medium from the print-medium path in response to a signal from the sensor indicative of a jam of the print medium in the finisher apparatus.

    Abstract: A printer mechanism includes a printhead to print on a print medium, and a platen located generally adjacent the printhead such that the platen and the printhead define a print zone therebetween. The platen includes a plurality of elongate ribs that project from an upper surface of the platen in a spaced relationship and positioned to contact a lower surface of the print medium such that the print medium bends downwardly between the ribs to provide an undulated section of the print medium with hills and valleys in the print zone. At least one shape control mechanism transforms each of the hills in the print zone into a corresponding valley in an output path adjacent to the print zone and transforms each of the valleys in the print zone into a corresponding hill in the output path.

    Abstract: A media registration system including an accumulation region and a transport track to receive and transport each media sheet of a series of media sheets forming a media job in a transport direction from an intake end to a registration end proximate to the accumulation region, and to stack the media sheets of the media job in the accumulation region to form a job stack. A translator adjusts a position of the registration end of the transport track in a direction lateral to the transport direction for each sheet to align edges of each sheet of the job stack in the lateral direction. A media sensor indicates a position of each sheet along the media path to facilitate a controller to determine an accumulation status of the job stack.

    Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a memory. The memory may have stored thereon machine readable instructions that when executed by the processor, may cause the processor to determine a job thickness of a print job including sheets, determine an average sheet thickness of the sheets, and determine an average print material coverage on the sheets. The instructions may also cause the processor to identify, based on the determined job thickness, the determined average sheet thickness, and the average print material coverage, a plurality of correction factors to be applied in a calculation of a corrected stack height of print jobs in an output bin and apply the identified plurality of correction factors to a measured stack height in the output bin to calculate the corrected stack height.

    Abstract: A method includes advancing, by a controller device comprising a processing resource, a media from a roll into a printer via rollers before a printing process begins, wherein a leading edge of the media comprises a curl due to the roll. The method also includes guiding, by the controller device, the media through the printer to engage a substrate in a predetermined zone spaced downstream a predetermined distance from a roller pinch point. The method also includes holding, by the controller device, the media against the substrate in the predetermined zone to force the leading edge of the media to bend in a direction opposite the curl of the leading edge to counteract the curl of the leading edge.
