Abstract: According to an example, an arrangement of parts to be printed in a build envelope of a three dimensional (3D) printer may be determined through identification of a plurality of parts to be printed and generation of a respective virtual bounding box for each of the plurality of parts. In one example, a determination may be made that a total volume occupied by the generated virtual bounding boxes falls below a predetermined threshold of the build envelope volume and an arrangement of the virtual bounding boxes inside the build envelope that results in a total height of the virtual bounding boxes being minimized may be determined, to enhance efficiency in printing of the plurality of parts by the 3D printer.

The object property space and the geometric space are intersected to define an object model, wherein an object property is defined at an intersection between a described object property and defined object geometry.

Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to selecting a 3D printing parameter based on voxel property association and conflict resolution. In one implementation, a processor assigns properties to a voxel of a 3D print object based on a first and second zone including the voxel and a condition of a first property associated with the first zone and a condition of a second property associated with the second zone. The processor may update the assigned properties to resolve conflicts between the properties and select a 3D printing parameter based on the assigned properties.

Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a memory on which is stored machine readable instructions executable by the processor to: identify a slice height for direct slicing of a Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline (NURBS) model formed of surfaces by slicing planes. The instructions may cause the processor to slice the NURBS model to produce slices having the identified slice height and to adaptively sub-divide surfaces of the NURBS model whose bounding boxes respectively intersect at least one of the slicing planes until the bounding boxes meet a predefined criterion. In addition, for each of the generated bounding boxes which meet the predefined criterion, the instructions may further cause the processor to determine sample points of the surface with which the bounding box corresponds and to store the sample points of the surfaces for printing.

Abstract: Examples associated with digital composition hashing are described. One example method includes receiving a digital composition file from a user. The digital composition file may include a top-level design and a hierarchy of sub-level designs. A hashed structure may be generated from the digital composition file, where a node in the hashed structure for the first sub-level design is generated based on hashes of sub-level designs below the first sub-level design in the hierarchy. The hashed structure and a hash of the digital composition file are stored in association with the user.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for three-dimensional object representation are described. In an example, data representing a three-dimensional object is received, the data comprising an object property description associated with each of a plurality of locations within the object. Distinct object property descriptions are identified and a data object, which has a plurality of addresses, is populated with data indicative of the distinct object property descriptions, such that data indicative of each distinct object property description is represented at a different address. Data comprising a representation of the object is generated, the data comprising a data object address associated with each of a plurality of locations, wherein the data object address corresponds to the address of data indicative of the object property description for that location.
